Introduction

Civic is helping in playing a big role in most of our societies since it is helping us to comprehend the rights and the responsibilities that we are supposed to be playing in our respective communities as the citizens. We have realized that civic for this matter is simply the study which involves the rights of the citizens and it goes ahead to actually help in explaining the duties that a citizen is supposed to be doing in his or her country. it explains the different kinds of rights that we are entitled to by the constitution and the it also gives us the liberty to actually enjoy the freedoms that are stated in the constitution. Civic tries to put and explain the rights of the citizen as per the current constitution and unlike in the past where we have realized that some rights were only entitled to some few individuals in the society, for instance in the past we have realized that only men who were actually having wealth could be given citizenship and enjoy special rights but the current world that we are leaving in the constitution gives equal rights to everyone who stays in the country and for that matter the government is also ensuring that e are protected from any violation of the rights that citizens are supposed to enjoy (Basri, 2015).

The rights of the citizens according to the constitution is very important and it gives everyone the authority to what is right in the society, in the constitution we have realized that each and every aspect of life of the citizens are actually captured in the constitution and this helps most of the people to know what they are supposed to do and when they are supposed to it and also I which manner (Cooper, 2014).

As the citizens we have been entitled to several duties that we are supposed to be doing as the citizens of a country, the duties are very important because when we realize what we are supposed to do then the country will be developing and each and every citizen will actually enjoy the good works that are done in the country and therefore we should actually realize the duties are they are defined in the constitution and follow it for the betterment of our country (Mustanoja, 2016).

The rights that we have can actually be denied to us when we go against what is explained in the constitution and we start doing our own things that provokes the constitution and to some extent when we misuse the rights that we have it can lead to punishment since we have to learn on how we are supposed to respect the constitution, for instance the freedom of speech when misused can be denied to someone for example if one talks maliciously about the country he or she can actually be denied the freedom of speech in public places (Sujatna, Pamungkas & Darsono, 2017).

Thesis statement

In this case we are going to discuss about the freedom of speech in school, we shall define what freedom is, and we shall also look at what is meant by the speech, we shall also discuss the importance of freedom of speech at school, we are going to look also if the students can actually be denied the freedom of speech at school and finally we shall look at the action that is likely to be taken in case the students are denied the freedom of speech (Basri, 2015).

Body

Freedom is the state which is considered as the power or the right which helps people in action think or even speak as one is willing and as one wants without he hindrance or restraining and this should be in the absence of the despotic government. Speech on the other hand is actually realized to be the verbal communication which is helping the people to actually express their feelings concerning the issues which are challenging them or the issues that they are impressed with (Cooper, 2014).

The importance of speech in school is actually considered one of the great things that should be encouraged, we have realized that freedom of speech is actually helping students to express their concerns about the challenges that they might be going through in school and this helps to create an environment which is contusive for them since when that express their concerns they are getting settled because teachers will actually come up with better solutions to their problems. The freedom of speech is also important because it provides the student with the opportunity to make observation of some the factors that may be hindering their performances in school or some of the needs that are supposed to be addressed by the management of the school and therefore the management has to ensure that the factors which is affecting the performance of the student are settled without any problem (Mustanoja, 2016).

The freedom of speech also helps the students and the teachers to discuss the major education matters and how to improve the performance of the students in the school, it helps the teachers and the students to actually interact easily without any problem and this creates good relationship between the students and the teacher in the school and hence promote the performance of the students. The freedom of speech at school actually helps the students to identify some of the mistakes that are done by the teachers and express them to the principle who in turn talks and settle the matter with the teachers who are concerned and the problem or the mistakes are actually settled (Sujatna, Pamungkas & Darsono, 2017).

Students can actually be denied the freedom of the speech when the teachers realize that they are misusing the freedom that instead of addressing key matters which are affecting them they end up into malicious talks that are promoting hatred among the students and even among the teachers. Such students can be denied the freedom of speech in the school where they are not allowed to contribute on any matter of the school until they finish their probation period within the school. They can also be denied the freedom of speech if they are actually using some inciting worlds within the school compound, if they are inciting malicious damages of the school properties by organizing school strikes or even damaging the properties of the school because this is against the school rules and regulations. A student can be denied the freedom of the speech on the school if he or she actually reveals the top secret of the school to the public this may cause the student to be put under probation not to say anything that concerns the school for a given period of time while going under the right ways of correcting the mistake that has been done by the student (Basri, 2015).

We have realized that sometimes the teacher are actually denying the students the freedom of the speech without any serious issues from the students side but because they want to suppress the concerns and the opinions of the students such teachers are supposed to be face the legal charges because according the constitution everyone is actually entitled to freedom of speech to express their opinions and raise their concerns to the relevant authority that can actually help to settled the matter (Mustanoja, 2016).

Conclusion

We have realized that the freedom off the speech is actually entitled to everybody to help in expressing the different opinion and the concerns that we have as citizens, the students are having the privilege to also express their opinions to their teachers who are supposed to help them settled their concerns in terms of their performance and also the factors that might be affecting them in the school, it is essential to allow each and every student to express their concern without any consideration based on the race, gender and even performance in the school. Every student is supposed to address the issues affecting him or her without fear or intimidations from the administration (Sujatna, Pamungkas & Darsono, 2017).

Summary

In this assignment we have been discussing the freedom of speech at school, we have gone ahead to define the freedom which we have realized that is the considered to be the power that allows someone to think, act and speaks the way he or she wants. We have also looked at the speech and we have realized that speech is the verbal communication that is helping people to ensure that they express their opinion and concerns. We have also looked at the freedom of speech at school where we have realized that students have the right to express their opinion and their concerns on the matter that might be affecting their performance in the school or any other factor that is actually affecting them when they are at school and the administration should actually take the matter and settled. We have also looked at the situation in which a student could actually be denied the freedom of speech at school where we realized that student who engages in malicious speech about the school could be subjected to denial of the freedom of the speech. We have also looked the action that is supposed to be taken to teachers who deny the students the freedom of speech without any violation and such teachers are supposed to be dealt with according to the law (Basri, 2015).
