Speakers from the above listed companies will be delivering a presentation about their IT organization. Lectures will be captured and available for viewing via the Mediasite Catalog. If you missed the lecture – or the lecture was delivered to another section, you must listen to the captured version of the lecture. Instructions for accessing that content is published on Blackboard under the Industry Speaker Series Content area.
Reflection Paper For each presentation date listed above, you must write a "Reflection Paper". This paper is to be a write-up of your learning, observations and reactions to the presentation and must demonstrate both your reflections about and your understanding of the topic(s) presented by our guest speakers. Your write-up must meet the following criteria:
• Content Demonstrates that student was actively engaged in the presentation and topic(s) covered by speaker(s) and includes reflections upon these content areas:
o Three new things that you learned from the speaker. o Two reasons why the functional role of IT presented is important to the business. o One question that you have regarding the area of IT that the speaker covered.
• Adherence to Excellent Writing Standards o Between 300 – 400 words o 12 Point Times New Roman Font o Well written – concise and coherent o No spelling or grammar errors
• Well formatted, easy to read and grade (meaning – easy to find required content) o Visual cues that aid reading such as paragraphs, bullets, section headings, etc. o A readable reflection that presents organized thoughts and ideas
• Proper Submission o Submitted to Blackboard. No printed (hardcopy) submission required.
