Proyecto 2: On vacation in a Spanish-speaking country/De vacaciones en un país de habla hispana

For your second project you’ll have to plan a pretend vacation on, you guessed again, a Spanish-speaking country. Just like your first project, it will be divided in 5 parts and it must be written COMPLETELY in Spanish. I don’t need complicated super long sentences, your phrases can be short and simple, but they must be in Spanish. You’ll upload a Word document or a PowerPoint presentation. If you decide to include videos (strongly encouraged) you can upload the files separately or embed the links on the document or presentation. Have fun!

Parte 1. Tu país

You’ll tell me all about the country you chose. You have to write at least one paragraph on why you chose it and at least two paragraphs with information about it, like currency, location, how many people live there, the weather, etc.

You must include a map of your country with the biggest cities or interesting sites pointed out. You will also include the flag.

Parte 2. Tu país en imágenes

You’ll find at least 15 images, they can be pictures, drawings, paintings, movie screenshots, posters, ads, or anything you like, about the country you chose. Each image must be followed by a sentence describing it or talking about it.

Part 3. Itinerario

For this part of the assignment you’ll need to plan a 5-day pretend trip to the country and write your itinerary. You’ll tell me:

· When will you travel? (month of the year and day pf the week you’re leaving and coming back on, etc)

· What will you visit? (cities, monuments, parks, museums etc)

· How will you travel to all those places (train, airplane, bus, etc)

· Where are you staying? (hotel, hostal, friend’s or family’s house, etc)

Parte 4. El Slang

Look up 5 slang phrases from your country. Instead of translating them directly to English find an image that illustrates each one and put it next to the phrase.

 Parte 5. La comida

You’ll tell me all about the food in the country you chose. Write about at least 5 dishes that you’d like to try and include pictures. Find at least 5 restaurants in the places you wrote about on your itinerary that serve typical food from the country and tell me the names, locations and if you’d like to eat there.

You can be as creative and use as many different elements as you want. It's a great opportunity to show your personality!

Remember you need to write this all in Spanish and all by yourself. Do not use Google Translate or any other translation website. It’s totally valid, and even encouraged, to look up certain words if you don’t know them, but just words, not full phrases.

Remember you need to use proper grammar and spelling. Review all the lessons as many times as you need and ask for any extra materials that would help.
