Healthcare need

The need or opportunity that I have identified within the organization is the lack of access to healthcare for the university's employees.

This impacts the organization by causing decreased productivity and increased absenteeism.

It also impacts the employees by causing them to miss work and/or have to take time off from work to receive medical care. It also impacts the greater healthcare environment by causing increased costs for the university and its employees.

My initiative to address this need or opportunity is to develop a healthcare program for the university's employees. This healthcare program will provide access to healthcare for the employees and their families. It will also provide access to mental health

The policy or guideline that I have identified on the Health.gov website is the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). This policy will impact my project by providing access to healthcare for the university's employees. The PPACA will also impact my project by providing access to mental health counseling and substance abuse counseling.
