Sony is one of the world’s largest distributors of electronics and just an all-around powerhouse to the world. Sony manufactures electronics; Sony has a recording label; they even make movies, and are heavily involved in gaming.
Core Products or Services
Sony’s products consist of televisions, projectors, Blu-ray/DVD players, cameras, smartphones headphones, movies, and the PlayStation. Sony’s products appeal to an array of people from old to new, men and women, and people of all ages. Their products are aimed at everyone. Many people focus on the PlayStation console, but even the console has so many features that people of all ages can get something out of it. The PlayStation allows people to play video games, but it also allows people to watch movies, stream, and access the world wide web. The PlayStation also has a blu-ray built inside the console for a better movie experience. Sony is like a one-stop-shop for anything electronic if they don’t have it, then that means it doesn’t exist.

Current competitors
Sony’s current competitors consist of Microsoft, Apple, Philips, and Samsung, to name a few. Sony has a lot of opportunities. Compared to its competitors, Sony does not emphasize components and price as much as how its PCs can be used for digital photography and music. The company creates and bundles its PCs for digital music management and for recording television shows. The Screenblast is a relatively new product from Sony. This software program lets people edit, enhance, and share digital videos, photos, or music files (ukessays).
