Rationale

As more women engaged in travelling in the 20th century, despite solo female travel being seen as a lack of modesty (Robinson 1994), they became a significant market to consider. However, many leisure spaces are still mainly dominated by men (Brown and Osman 2017).

To encourage more women to travel alone.

To change the stereotype in the community that a woman cant travel alone.

In this slide I will explain the rationales in more depth. As more women engaged in travelling in the 20th century, despite solo female travel being as a lack of modesty, they became a significant market to consider. And that means more risks and obstacles would rise for them.

Traveling solo is great opportunity for women to find them selves and have more self confidence.

Its important to mention that in some part of the world its still considered bad or not acceptable for women to travel alone for leisure without her husband or brother and this kind of thoughts leads to other consequences.

While doing this research I came across some disturbing cases of women and what happened to them during their travel specially in the middle east.
