The software development life cycle (SDLC) is a method used to developing information systems with the following four traditional

phases:

1. Planning

2. Analysis

3. Design

4. Implementation

Consider this scenario: You are an IT consultant, and you have been approached by an entrepreneur in need of a business plan to obtain funding. Part of this business plan centers on an IT presence. Create a 2page executive summary that explains how the SDLC applies to your customer’s organization. Be creative. You can select any business you like, but remember the conversation must focus on IT operations, particularly a system design or software or application presence. Introduce the organization, providing its background and a breakdown of the task at hand.

Include graphical aids in your final draft to show the application flow. Flow charts help in showing the application flow of your software. Visio and other smart draw applications are preferred. The notes pane underneath each slide should be used to expand on talking points presented on the slide.
