social class and parenting

For this week's forum, read the article by Annette Lareau ( link here ) on social class and parenting.  In your forum post, make sure to explain:

1. What is the difference between concerted cultivation and the accomplishment of natural growth?

2. What is your reaction to Lareau's research (the method she used, her findings, etc)?

3. How do your childhood experiences fit in with these two parenting styles?
