Sociology is the study of social systems, processes, institutions and phenomena. As such, the range of things that sociologists investigate is vast. In this course, you are being introduced to several of the more common areas of sociological research, but more than that, you are being asked to start “thinking sociologically”. This paper is designed to provide you space to critically examine a topic from a sociological perspective.
The paper questions/theme: What social forces are at work today that are reshaping how people understand the concept of families?
Your paper must draw on academic sources to support any claims or assertions you are making, and must be a good faith attempt to better understand a social problem, issue, practice or process.
Your paper should:
Be related to a concept or subject I provided(see the attached documents)
Be something that you are interested in researching in an academic fashion
Ask a specific question that you’ll answer using the resources available to you as university students. (The paper questions/theme: What social forces are at work today that are reshaping how people understand the concept of families?)
