ESSAY ON RACE, ETHNICITY, AND IMMIGRATION OF LATINO CULTURE
Write an essay to answer the question(s) below. Please adhere to the following guidelines:
· Your response should be approximately 5-6 pages. If it is much shorter than that, you're probably not providing enough detail.
· Cite your sources! See the example papers on Canvas for examples of how to cite properly. If you’re citing properly, you’ll have citations in every paragraph.
· Draw only on class material to answer the question(s). Reference as many of the sources we've covered as you can, including the textbook, lectures, news stories/podcasts, videos, and discussions.
· Do not use outside sources. By this, I mean sources that were not covered in our class. If you draw on class material thoroughly, you can answer the question adequately.
Write an essay that addresses ALL of the following questions/issues:
· Based on everything we've covered this semester, what have you learned about race, ethnicity, and immigration?
· Describe and explain the most important factors that shape the experiences that immigrants have. Be sure your discussion focuses primarily on race/ethnicity.
· Summarizing what you've learned, why do you think race/ethnicity are such important factors in our social lives? Really think about the social purposes that race/ethnic groups serve in societies.
· 3-4 References listed from below in APA format.
