12 O'clock Boys is a film that follows a young man's fascination with dirt bike riders from Baltimore city. Watch the documentary and comment on the ways in which criminality is constructed through this group.  In a word document address the following:

1. What function/purpose does riding bikes serve in the lives of these individuals? Use scenes/dialogue/situations from the film to support your reasoning.

2. Define Groupthink. Do you believe that the riders have a groupthink mentality that dictates their actions OR do you believe that these individuals have a good degree of individuality? Why or why not?  Use scenes/dialogue/situations from the film to support your reasoning.

3. Define Social Identity Theory and Differential Association. How can they both be applied to Pug's motivation to join the group?  Use scenes/dialogue/situations from the film to support your reasoning.

4. Define Social Control Theory. Does this documentary support Hirschi's notions or challenge them? Why or why not?  Use scenes/dialogue/situations from the film to support your reasoning.

5. Do you believe that these individuals have social bonds that they rely upon OR do you believe that they coalesce to create a bond?  If you believe that they have social bonds, identify what they are AND how you believe they were built. If you believe that they coalesce to create a bond, identify how coming together creates a bond AND the type of role members play in each others lives. Use scenes/dialogue/situations from the film to support your reasoning.

Answer each question in one paragraphs (at least 5 sentences per paragraph). Do not seek outside sources as plagiarism will not be tolerated and online sources have a skewed definition of these theories.
