Content Stuff:

1. Discuss the Social Problem you are interested in: briefly describe what it is and what makes it a social problem. Use the definition of social problem from our course. 

2. Discuss the root causes of the social problem, recalling that the root cause we are exploring in Sociology usually have to do with major areas of structure such as the systems of Capitalism, White Supremacy, Patriarchy. Discuss historical development of this social problem and current manifestations of it. 

3. Discuss who is being directly impacted by this social problem What is happening? To who? Give stats and facts as fitting and with reliable sources (NPR, Pew Research, Soc text)

4. Discuss who might be benefiting from this social problem, in short or long term ways, and how they are benefitting from it (think back to root causes). 

5. Give some strong examples of this social problem in contemporary society. Use sources. 

6. Give some insight of what the Order Model might say about this social problem. Give some insight of what the Conflict Model might say about this social problem. 

7. Briefly conclude/discuss your thoughts on this social problem using sociological insights, key terms from our course, and an insight that comes from your Sociological imagination.
