Objectives
Operational objective
It is charged with the mandate of coordinating agency for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery and maintains a comprehensive state-wide program of emergency management.
Supporting communication objective
Educating the public on how to deal with certain disasters such as fire outbreaks
Provide a twenty four hour communication channel to the people thus be able to deal with emergencies around the clock.
Conduct periodic training to the employees, the management and the general public through the use of social media.
Platforms
Facebook: the platform is used to create awareness on upcoming emergencies thus help the people who may be affected evade.
The platform is also used to educate people on important matters such as safety driving during storms
Twitter: updates on storms, earth quake occurrences and effects that may come with the calamities.
Audience
1. The audience for whom the information is intended to be passed mostly use televisions and smart mobile phones to get information.
2. The most reliable channel for spreading information on disasters is use of mainstream media outlets such as television channels since most of the people get easy access to these. Also, use of social media platforms as Facebook and Twitter can be used since the organization has a large number of followers.
3. The audience targeted by this information are those in the rural areas and selected areas of the urban centers. Most of Alabama is rural areas. There are select major cities that are populace.
4. Slight differences exist in access to the information; the social media platforms require a person to have internet access while televisions do not need internet access to get information.
5. Primarily through televisions nonetheless there has been a recent surge to have more information funnel through social media. The audience is getting more younger and tech savvy. Areas are starting to lose television as the storms go along but there is still a viable signal thru cellular devices.
6. The local emergency management being that they have more information about the locale then state government does. Again, most of Alabama is rural land with the exception of the major cities, like Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery, and Mobile. They are more susceptible of leaning on state EMA for advice on emergencies.

Vulnerable Populations: Vulnerable populations and people who are at higher risk of being affected by calamities, they are given the top priority
Direct Contact Service: This is service in which there is face to face interactions between volunteers or participants and the clients or consumers of the community organization.
Low Contact Service: This is service in which there is only limited interaction between participants and the employees of the community organization. There is no direct face to face contact with clients.
