Chapter 8 of Bell discussed several issues related to American Indians, Alaska Natives, and multiracial group members. Chapter 3 of Schwalbe tells a story of socioeconomic inequality:  It is an example of how such inequality can emerge and be maintained. The authors of the article “All Indians are Dead” stated students are graduating from high school without even basic knowledge of contemporary Native challenges or culture.
