Social Cognitive Theory
Physical wellness is mostly associated with the absence of diseases. It pertains to the wellness of both the body and the mind.
Some of the dimensions by which physical health is gauged include the abandonment of bad behaviors such as drinking, smoking, adopting exercises and proper weight control (Stults et. al. 85).
Negative behaviors such as drug and substance abuse not only harms the individual but also the society at large.
Physical Dimensions of Wellness:
Effects of Unhealthy Behavior
Unhealthy behaviors predisposes one to infections such as respiratory illnesses, HIV/AIDS, some types of cancer and hepatitis C.
It hinders the normal functioning of the brain and interferes with some of its major functions
A damaged brain subsequently leads to self-destructive behaviors, depression, hopelessness, anger, loss of control and the development of mental disorders (Brown, Cassandra L. et al. 840)
Impact of Drug Abuse on Society
Increased criminal activities
Increased burden on medical and other social services
Unused opportunities and limited capacity to engage in productive economic activity.

ii. Frequent exercise can reduce the chances of developing lifestyle diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular infections.
Strength of Recommendations
Quitting habits such as alcohol and drug abuse will not only benefit the individual but also the society at large (Bandura 617). It will lead to increased social awareness and reduced crime.
A Diagrammatic Illustration of the Benefits of Exercise
Regular exercise sheds off body weight and reduces the chances of an individual suffering from cardiovascular infections and other lifestyle. These are diseases such as diabetes. These recommendations will be successful since they will reduce the burden on healthcare services by drug addicts as well as enable them lead healthy lives.
Challenges Faced When Implementing Recommendations
Lack of adequate participation from some of the alcohol addicts due to the lack of knowledge.
Slow uptake of habits such as walking, cycling and other forms of exercise.
