Assignment: You have learned about one method for examining social interactions on a micro-level, Ethnomethodology. For this assignment, you will create a situation in which you “break the rules” to uncover the social norms. It is imperative that you follow some guidelines for completing this project:

· You are not to do anything illegal for this assignment

· The point is not to “pull a prank” or to be unnecessarily rude. Be clear on the difference between these and breaking unwritten rules

· Gain support through sharing your project with others. For example, if you break a social rule at work, it may be wise to share your plans with your boss

· De-brief any individuals involved after completion if needed

· You cannot engage others to do this for you and just serve as an observer

Make sure to describe the scenario, analyze the social rule, and tell what you learned. 2-3 pages.
