That's appropriate for coaching, sport psychology, sport performance etc. but be sure to include here the purpose of the course which is how do we use sport and our roles in sport as platforms to bring people closer to Christ.

Abstract
When it comes to sports and religion a lot of athletes take that out with them on the court and field. Sports in way embraces different rituals and values and mend well together with religion values such as Christianity. Prayer is very important to Christians and certain athletes believes that prayers can help improve their game and also keep their self and their teammates safe out on the field and court. The lord’s prayers are the most common use when it comes to athlete’s prayer before and after games. The purpose of this paper is to show the importance of prayer in athletes in sports before their game and how it may help them improve their game and also grow stronger as a team.
Introduction/Thesis
Athletes use prayer to help their performance and things that go on in their daily life. They use prayer to help them stay calm in stressful situations as well as potential injuries. Player use it to help prayer for a good game and that god will help them use their skills to get the win for their team. This paper will explain how athletes use religion, such prayer when it comes to sports. (Czech & Bullet, 2007).

A. Reasons why athletes pray
1. Pre-game ritual to help them get their mind right before the game. Brings the team together on many levels to perform well and stay connected.
(Hoven, 2016).
a) During the game to help them keep their composure in heated moments
b) Avoid injuries to any of their team mates and also other players om the court or field.
(Mosley, Frierson, Cheng, & Aoyagi, 2015).
c) Help them get the win and have cohesion with the team.
Second Supporting Idea
B. Giving players more confidence in themselves
1. Some players are scared when a game first being. Knowing that god is on their side and they have nothing to worry about is key to helping them succeed better.

a) Prayer can give players a reason to play and remind them who gave them their gift in the first place.
b) Teaches them to be humble and more different situations they face.
c) Gives them a deeper relationship with god.
