5. What is one sacred symbol that is particularly meaningful to them, and why? What does this sacred symbol represent to them? Why is it powerful and how does it transform them?

6. Theodicy- how do they understand the problem of evil? Why does evil happen to good

people?

7. According to your interviewee, what is the biggest misunderstanding about their religion? Why is it problematic?

8. What do they think about the role of religion in our every-day secular life? Should religion

be more involved or isolated from the public sphere?

1. Paper: 1200-1500 words, double-spaced, 12-size font, and cited correctly. (MLA, APA).

• Three academic sources outside our textbook and the interview are required for this project. Check with instructor if you are not sure about the legitimacy of your sources.

o Use our FIU library. o Don’t use Wikipedia.

2. video format of about 5-7 minutes. The video must be well edited, feature interviewees, images, and good quality audio. You will still have to write a script and include a bibliography. Examples of the video format will be provided.
