Rationale/ focus: To understand that you have to know the pros and cons of tcgplayer, which is one of the only websites that someone could buy and sell cards. pros: easy website to list collectible cards of all genres. lots of traffic so it has a lot of buyers. cons: the in-exclusivity allows a lot of sellers to join which makes prices super competitive. fees that are taken after the sale mean you lose a percentage of each and every sale. now the site i want would be different from tcgplayer because it would be my own independent store where i can direct traffic from existing customers to through advertisement and word of mouth. This would eliminate the fees aspect as well as the competitiveness of tcgplayer. Although it will not have nearly as much traffic as tcgplayer one could still continue to sell on tcgplayer while having their inventory live linked to the independent store account. To direct customers to my site by sending return customers offers as well as new customers. I can lose a percentage of sales through discounts on my site to build up a buyer base because the money im saving from the fees on tcgplayer could be used as incentive for buyers to buy through me at a lower price. It also gives me the ability to purchase inventory from people which tcgplayer does not allow sellers to do other than buylists.

Target audience: collectible card owners/traders/buyers/collectors. anyone who uses tcgplayer.
