Short Response: [Add Title of Assignment]
Short responses should be brief and factual. Focus on specific details and evidence, as opposed to opinions and generalizations. Answer in complete sentences, using proper grammar and punctuation, and be sure to incorporate the vocabulary and concepts you’re learning in the course. These responses should demonstrate that you know more about art than you did before you began the class, and that you’re continuously learning more! Follow MLA formatting for all elements of your response, as done on this template. This paragraph contains 96 words, to give you an idea of what that length looks like.
Some writing tips: titles of artworks go in italics (such as van Gogh’s Starry Night), NOT quotation marks, and proper nouns such as artists’ names (Monet, Picasso), and names of art movements (Baroque, Impressionism, etc.), countries (France, Italy), and holy books (Bible, Bhagavad Gita, etc.) are always capitalized. Pluralize words that end in “-st” (artists, Impressionists) where appropriate, and remember that “women” is a plural noun! Before submitting, double-check that you have answered everything the prompt is asking. Also, make sure that you have deleted the text in brackets above (ex: [add your Firstname Lastname]) and replaced it with the required information. Upload only .doc, .docx, or .pdf files.
