1. Dobson provides a lot of tips and advice to parents who are raising girls in Bringing Up Girls. Choose one or two pieces of advice that stand out to you. If you are a woman, talk about whether your parents implemented this piece of advice in how they raised you. How did that influence your development? If your parents did not use the advice you picked out, how do you think using that may have influenced your development or your relationship with your parents? If you are a man, try to put yourself into the mindset of a woman and answer these questions to the best of your ability based on the reading.

2. In chapter 4 of Bringing Up Girls, Dobson talks about some of the differences between boys and girls. Identify some of the physiological differences and discuss the subsequent emotional and mental differences.
