SHARP

United States Army is currently involved in numerous wars. Among these wars, some are internal. Our internal war against the sexual harassment and Assault in the Army began in 2005. Since the beginning of the fight, SHARP (sexual Harassment/assault response & prevention) had tremendous, affect the entire Army and showed very promising and successful improvement through continuous education on SHARP. However, the number of the sexual harassment and assault incident reported are higher than ever.

To begin, according to The Department of Defense Fiscal Year 2017 Annual Report on Sexual Assault in the Military the number of incident report in FY07 was 2846 and the number of incidents reported in FY17 was 6769. Although this is an amazing progressive data in terms of increasing awareness of the program, at the same time the number of the incidents are incredibly high.
