Sexuality – Interview Questions

1. Hello and welcome to the interview. I must admit that it was really good of you to create some time for the interview. Could we begin by you telling us about yourself and what you do?

2. As a sociologist, could you please share your perception and views on gender and sexuality in the current world?

3. Since I believe that you are a husband and a parent, do you have some pride and fears about your children while you watch them grow, develop and start exploring their sexuality?

4. Having touched on the topic of sexuality, and having read your book on the same where you discuss your views about the society’s increasing recognition of homo-sexuality, bisexuality and trangenderism as an alternative way of sexuality, could you explain these thoughts a bit here in the interview?

5. While acknowledging the point that most of the views you have on your book about LGBTQX people are academic, what is your personal perception about this alternative form of sexuality?

6. Currently, there are parents all over the world who are worried about or are struggling to come to terms with their gender-diverse or transgender child’s identity, and most often think that they are cursed or even bad parents. What can you tell them about this experience?

7. For those parents who come from families with conservative religious views about sexuality, i.e. strictly forbid homosexuality, how can you help them to enable them accept their children or loved ones with gender-diverse or transgender identity while simultaneously maintain their faith?

8. What advice can you offer to such individuals to protect themselves from the adverse consequences of discrimination and prejudice based on their sexuality?

9. Finally, talk to use about the use of medications and other medical interventions available for the members of the LGBTQX community.
