ORG 601 Human Interfaces

The exam is modelled after your weekly summaries – a very strong well supported summary with personal examples, explanations, insight and citations.

You must use only academic sources in support including text. There will be mark loss for cut and paste of point form, any taking from non credible sources, not using the assigned required text in support. Should there be any evidence of adjusting material taken from the web to disguise the source you will get a 0 grade and anything not cited you will get no marks for.

You are to take theories or models from the course and the content of the text that meant the most to you personally and summaries your learning explaining what you learned (the analysis),

The conclusion contains: how you feel you can apply it to your career/life, what your challenges were in applying it and how you have or will overcame them. In your personal perspective be sure to link to class not just content of text.

You need to answer the following 3 questions content the analysis and conclusion are worth 13.33 each. The exam is worth 20% of the total grade. Checkout rubric below.

1. Take one theory that you learned the most from at the individual level, you should be able to identify and explain the variables, their roles in organizational context, why the learning was important to you. Take from perceptions, emotions, personality, values, attitudes, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, etc.

2. Take one theory from the group level, you should identify and explain the variables, their roles in organizational context and your experience. Do not although you need to identify one you should also comment on and how they relate to each other: group norms, groupthink, conflict management, negotiations, decision making, etc.

3. Take one theory at the organizational level, you should identify and explain the key variables, their roles in organizational context and how they relate to each other: organizational culture, structure and design.

Remember your own words, your own story and this is well supported academically with text plus. Remember to cite within and have references at the end.
