Our organization is looking for a knowledgeable Senior Payroll Specialist following the increase in work and the high demand for Payroll. The Specialist will manage the Payroll of the company.

Job duties
· Ensure timely processing of Payroll, which will be semi-monthly. The Specialist will be expected to maximize efficiencies (Indeed.com, n.d.), maintain the standards pertaining to operations, and adhere to the procedures and policies within the department.
· Configure payroll reports that utilize report writer as per the organization's requirement; the Specialist will also create (LinkedIn, n.d), modify, and utilize the spreadsheets to ensure administration of various payroll transactions; analysis payroll as required.
· Receive inquiries from employees, Human resources, accounting, government, and managers, and any other third-party agencies and respond to them in a timely manner. The Specialist will utilize knowledge and interpretation of legislation (Indeed.com, n.d.), procedures, and policies.
· Working closely with HR team members and ensuring better management of enhancements to legislation and processes (City of Mesa, n.d).
· In case the Payroll is not present, the Specialist will act as the team leader.
· Ensure proper maintenance of employees' records such as terminations (EArcu, n.d) and salary changes.
Education requirements
· The candidate may be required to have a degree in finance, accounting, or any other related field.
· The candidate must have a certified payroll specialist (CPS) license to validate knowledge in Payroll, experience (EArcu, n.d), payroll skills, and confirm professional ethics. The license will help validate skill, knowledge, and experience in Payroll, accounting, and QuickBooks.
· Ensure to have passed the three-part of the Specialist examination; or approved to bear for the Code of Professional Conduct (City of Mesa, n.d).
· Possess a two-year of accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll experience.
· Possess a complete Education Alternative or an associate or a degree in accounting. Suppose you do not have a bachelor's degree or an associate degree in accounting. In that case, the following course substitutes will be accepted: payroll fundamentals (LinkedIn, n.d), accounting fundamentals, QuickBooks Online Fundamentals, or QuickBooks Fundamentals (desktop).
Experience requirements
· The Specialist must have proven experience as a payroll manager or payroll specialist.
· More than fifteen years of experience; working in a complex professional services environment
· Know about complex Payrolls, such as global reporting of inbounds (EArcu, n.d), expatriates (Indeed.com, n.d.), and salaries.
· Have experience in reconciliations/ accounting of payroll liabilities account, and have Payroll GF knowledge (City of Mesa, n.d).
· Experience in staff management and previous payroll system upgrades.
· Be an expert in using excel and have dealt with government agencies
