Essay All students completing ENGL 2 will submit a final portfolio, which will include a SELF-REFLECTION ESSAY. The self-reflection is an essay asks you to reflect on the work you've done as a reader and writer from when you completed the Reflection on College Writing through the end of your current writing course. You will catalogue the specific evidence you use in your ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY OF STUDENT WORK. This essay should be approximately 500-600 words.

PROMPT

Based on your experiences as a reader and writer at SJSU, write a Self-Reflection Essay that helps your audience (writing program faculty) appreciate your progress in understanding and developing strategies to address the ENGL 2 learning objectives. Although you can refer to any or all of the learning outcomes, please focus especially on:

GELO #3: Students shall effectively locate, interpret, evaluate, and synthesize evidence in a comprehensive way in support of their ideas.

Note: You are making an argument using specific evidence from your reading and writing experience at SJSU. Your goal is to convince readers that you have gained insight into what makes writing effective and that you’ve begun to develop strategies for producing effective texts. You will need to argue that you have developed an understanding of course learning goals and have developed strategies for working toward them.
