Fast food and obesity
Fast food is slowly destroying mankind! It quickly became a drug addiction, affecting
countless lives and societies. When we eat fast food, do we really know what's in our bodies?
Over time, American fast food has grown from $6 billion in 1970 to today's corporate giants,
earning more than $170 billion a year. Especially because meat, eggs, and dairy products are the
main ingredients of the fast food. Mass consumption index of growth gradually widespread
negative social impact, including the rapid increase of the disease related to the diet, the
exploitation of workers, the system of animal abuse and environmental degradation. It is worth
noting that most of the medical problems in this century are caused by the high cost of poor
nutrition and high-quality food, which is why the fast food industry is doing so well.
Americans are very lazy in cooking food because they have a lot of different fast food
choices. One can eat three meals a day in different fast-food restaurants and eat in different
places in a week. Many Americans live in the phrase "time is money", so save time at all costs,
especially where you can get food almost without waiting. Fast food is perfect for people who
are going to be late for work. After a long day at work, many people don't want to go home to
cook, and many drive-thru meals provide a quick and convenient meal to take home. Even
McDonald's, which operates 24 hours a day, allows more people to eat delicious food, no matter
how late they work.
Americans are getting fatter because fast food is convenient, cheap and addictive, although
very unhealthy. Fast food, high saturated fat, calories, and -endorphins release sugar, creating a
pleasurable state for people who eat food, and they associate good feelings with fast food. Fast
food for the cash-strapped consumers today is also very cheap, and for anyone, whether it is day
or night to buy fast food, people can save more money and time.
Fast food is on the way, and now it's even in school. When a small child, eating habits often
form, as the age increases, it naturally becomes difficult to get rid of repeated bad habits. Schools
all over the country now offer fast food, and children are getting into bad habits and getting used
to fast food at a young age. Millions of Americans are suffering from obesity as it has begun to
affect many children and adolescents. From school lunches to happy meal, fast food companies
are using smart methods to target children and make it impossible for children to refuse to buy
their products. They think fast food is good and cool because it has a toy. This toy is the key to
getting more and more children into fast food restaurants and eating unhealthy foods. More
importantly, research has shown that "fast food is mainly for children". These restaurants
advertise their children; This will bring them in. Some fast food restaurants are the world's
largest toy dealers. A survey of American schoolchildren found that almost all children
recognized Ronald McDonald. Once the children are in the restaurant, they buy fast food to buy
toys.
Most obese people often eat in fast food restaurants. As obesity rates rise, so does the number
of fast-food restaurants. While not sure, many people believe that obesity in the United States is
linked to eating fast food. Because the United States is the world's highest obesity rate, it is
important for Americans to monitor the fast food industry that may cause obesity. With the
pressure to get things done in time, fast food became a necessity. However, when creating
fast-food restaurants, these industries did not take into account the negative effects of obesity. In
addition to obesity, there are other harmful effects. Fast food restaurants provide unhealthy
products, such as greasy food and artificial meat, that lead to the eating and health problems of
many adults and children. A recent study found that "children who are fed processed,
malnourished foods are likely to become unhealthy adolescents and eventually become
unhealthy adults.
A study of 6212 teenagers found that nearly a third of every day 4 to 19-year-old
American children eat fast food, which could make them increase about 6 pounds a year, and
increase the risk of obesity. Obesity children's hospital Boston, project director, said Dr. David
Ludwig, although these Numbers worrying, it is not surprising, because every year, billions of
dollars on advertising of fast food to children, Ludwig says, the research results show that since
1970, the fast-food consumption has increased five times. Nationally representative studies
include boys and girls from all over the country and different socioeconomic levels. Fast food
consumption is highest among young, boys, older children, blacks and children living in the
south. More than 20 percent of young people living in the west, rural areas, Hispanics and four to
eight years of age reported eating fast food on any given day. Fast food lovers consume more fat,
sugar and carbohydrates and less fruit and non-starchy vegetables than young people who don't
eat fast food. The study found that their daily intake of calories also increased by 187 calories,
which could increase their calorie intake by about 6 pounds a year. When it comes to calories,
total fat, saturated fat, and sodium, fast food can shock you. A big burger contains about 600
calories and 35 grams of fat, while a small portion of fries adds 200 calories and 10 grams of fat.
Add a small amount of soda to your mix, and you'll be able to see nearly 1,000 calories in a
meal. The problem with fast food is not just what children eat; That's what they don't like.
Children who eat fast food are less likely to meet their nutritional needs, especially vitamin A
and vitamin C.
