Summary: Simon’s books pairs text with gorgeous NASA pictures of the moon. Via text and pictures Simon shares a brief history of the Apollo lunar missions, lunar stats, and description of lunar composition. He completes the book by comparing the Moon to its closest neighbor in space, the Earth. The photographs are astounding. |

Uses in Classroom: This books is recommended for ages 7 -11. The book, especially in a big book format, would make for a great read-aloud regardless of grade level… It would also be handy to have in a classroom library (or borrowed from the public/school library) to supplement the textbook. A great way to start a unit on the moon. |
