What are you required to do:
Using the Sample Project perform the following tasks:
1. Use the List of Activities to develop AON/CPM/Network Diagram for the Sample Project by hand (sketch it on piece of paper).
2. Complete the Critical Path Method (CPM) computations on the diagram developed in Step 1 above to determine the Critical Path, Activity Dates and Total Float for activities
3. Now using Mircosoft Project or Project Libre (if both do not work use Excel) to develop the Network Diagram for the Sample Project (assume project starts on July 1, 2020)
4. Add Resource Information to your schedule using the Resources Needed table provided for the Sample Project
5. Perform Resource Leveling on your Project
What will you Submit:
The following documents can be assembled into a single PDF file and uploaded:
1. Scan the network diagram with the calculations (see step 1 and step 2 above)
2. Print the Gantt Chart from Mircosoft Project or Project Libre (after adding resources in step 4 but without performing Resource Leveling)
3. Print the Gantt Chart from Mircosoft Project or Project Libre (after performing Resource Leveling listed in Step 5 above)
4. One-page conclusions including--project start date and end date; project duration and critical path calculated
Sample Project
We will use a sample project (provided by https://www.open.edu/openlearn/money-business/business-strategy-studies/planning-project/content-section-6.3#fig001-010 (Links to an external site.) ) to complete this assignment. The sample project is designed to print and distribute a directory (who prints a directory anymore!).
