Rationale The purpose of a poster is to provide a visual summary of student’s ideas that outlines key
message or argument as well as the key points or proposal. A poster uses very few words
with appropriate visuals and graphics.
In this assessment, the students have to prepare a poster to present his/her message in a recent
topic in IT Infrastructure. The poster should have clear structure and layout to support that
message.
Task Specifications The student has to analyse the IT infrastructure of an organization, preferably an organisation where
you work or have worked recently. Your analysis has to consider IT infrastructure main topics such
as:
• Layered systems architectures.
• IT infrastructure components.
• Dynamic scaling of applications using Cloud Service
• Virtualization
• Risk and security
• IT Infrastructure emerging technologies such as (Bring your own device, Grid computing,
Green computing, Service-oriented architecture, RFID technology, Sensor Networks, Zigbee
network).
Prepare a poster to demonstrate your analysis or ideas in range of visual techniques such as
illustrations, schematic diagrams, arrows or flow charts and cues such as bullet points, colour
and design.
Poster Development and Submission
• Use any application software you are familiar with in the development of your poster,
such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Publisher, Adobe
Photoshop, or any other software.
• Set your poster page size to A3 and develop your poster.
• Submit the PDF format file version of your poster.
