Group Assignment - Brief

1.Purpose This Brief sets out what is required to be done by each team and should be read in conjunction with the instructions given through lectures and the unit of study guide. The SBM3302 group assignment has two major deliverables:

1) Delivery of Tender Documentation 2) Presentation (Bid opening session)

In your tutorial groups, generate complete set of documentation for the request for proposal (RFP) that is allocated to your group by your lecturer. The required documents to submit for the tender do not vary for each group; but the detail of the required service or work differs on case by case basis. You need to also take into account all the constraints and deadline imposed on your project and address them accordingly.

2.Deliverable details 2.1 Tender Documentation

• Statement of Work

• Work Break Down Structure

• Milestone schedule

• Cost estimates

• Quality Assurance/Safety Standards

• Procurement Strategy (e.g. contract type, mode of delivery)

2.1.1 Assessment This document as part of is due Monday 06/05/2018, 11:55pm. It will be worth 20% of course marks. 2.2 Bid opening session (presentation) Present your proposal at the bid opening session and justify your proposal (or defend) to the client as a tutorial group during the lecture in week 12. You will have 15 minutes to present your material, with 5 minutes for questions. The format needs to be a MS PowerPoint style presentation. 2.2.1 Assessment This document will form part B of the Tender report, the schedule for presentations for each group will be announced duly. Note, all presentations will take place during week 12. This will be worth 10% of course marks. All group members are expected to take part in presentation. Marks will be deducted in case any of the members are not present during the bidding sessions.
