Data is defined as stored or recorded readings, consist of symbols and signals. Symbols can be numbers, images, or diagrams, and signals are readings from senses such as brightness, sound levels, and different tastes. Data is a fact of an independent event. Data can be recorded in any format and can or cannot be useful or have a meaning at the raw level. Data is commonly present in tables or spreadsheets on a computer (Liew, 2007).

Information is the evolved level of data, and refined data is useful for analysis. Databases in computer systems carry information relating to analysis. Information is a useful message to make decisions by refining data sets (Liew, 2007).

Knowledge is defined as the collection of related information that can use for an intent work. When it comes to humans, knowledge considers as a memory of information, which can use to respond correctly. With the information in human or computer memory can act accordingly to make decisions. Knowledge helps in day to day life to make life better, and in a business, it is a decision to increase profits (Liew, 2007).

Data captured from an event is processed and analyzed to create a flow of historical events and used to predict the future. Any information created from data is captured and stored as data for further processing. The human mind absorbs the information and understands to build knowledge. When needed, the human mind can release that knowledge into information through verbal or visual actions (Liew, 2007). According to (Jifa, 2013) data, information, and knowledge is used since the eighties as a hierarchy to present the flow of data mining to knowledge management. Further understanding of the relationship between data, patterns, and principles guides the path to wisdom. Arranging data, information, and knowledge helps to design systems in the human mind, but there are disagreements of a computer to obtain knowledge from data and information (Ahsan, 2006).

Data processing by a human takes longer than a computer, and most of the companies do not use appropriate artificial intelligent systems to do the job. Once data processes into information, that information gets ignored by decision-makers. When information does not become knowledge, it goes to waste. Proper alignment of information will strengthen the team of workers in an organization. A common direction needs to be shared with each one. Lack of information or understanding will derail the common goal from an individual's mind, and the ability to share knowledge fails. IT systems need to implement tools to share information and knowledge through various channels (Paghaleh, Shafiezadeh, & Mohammadi, 2011).
