As shared in the textbook, when dealing with angry people, it is best to stay calm and be empathic and use thoughtful, reflective statements. Other tips are to never use rebuttal, derogatory, or negative statements that may further anger the person or situation.
Consider and briefly share a conflict you observed or encountered; what was your approach in handling the situation?* Did you feel mad, uneasy, fearful, engaged, sympathetic, etc.? Were you able to diffuse the situation? Do you feel the outcome was satisfactory? With this new knowledge, do you feel like, if given the opportunity, you would do or say anything differently?
*Please do not state the person(s) name or employment, employer, or any type of indicator in the example shared.

Motivation is a positive vibe that is meant to bring forth happy, energetic thoughts or feelings. There is so much sadness in this world (death, sickness, termination, famine, etc.), so let's take a moment to engulf our mind with the good things in this world.
The challenge of this discussion board is to share a scenario where you were inspired or motivated by another's words, actions, praises, services, or deeds. Be specific stating the motivators, how they made you feel, your thoughts, your actions, and the takeaway of the good deed.
In your responses to one another, share what you learned from their experience and how you can apply these lessons in your own life.
