Main Idea:

The main idea of team 1 is cellphones, the topic I will be covering impact of social behavior on cellphone . Also, I will give the pros and cons of cell phones usage with the impact it has on social behavior .

Key point of evidence:

Some of he key point of evidence of social behavior are:

1. Cell phone technology has led to an increase crime and hack of personal information.

2. Moral standard in messaging and apps.

3. How cellphone has effected human interaction with the society.

4. Effects of cell phones having on young children at an early age.

5. Impact of cell phones on the environment .

Preliminary analysis of evidence:

Cell phones has become a big factor in our daily lives. Such as everything in our life cell phones has pros and cons on our life’s and affects many different aspects such as health , relationships, and impact of behavior.

My part in this team project is to cover the impact of social behavior that cell phones have on the society. I would like to start by saying by far cell phones have made our daily life very easy. As everything that makes life easier, cellphones have a side effects in our society. As for cell phones people have become very reliable on them, which has made people stop developing skills that cellphone has taking away, for example nowadays most of us do nor even know our cell phone number. Some of the issues cell phones have caused for us in today world is the increase in stole individual data due to phone hacks. I don’t think we think so much when we get cell phone we enter so much information such as birthday, blood type, height, weight , house address, work address, credit/debit card information, and now finger prints/face recognition. With all this information added in our cell phones, it is extremely easy for a hacker to have access to all this sensitive information. In addition, when we download applications to our cell phone we are giving them access to some our data and they can sell this information companies without knowledge. Our cellphones have more information about us than ourselves and companies can make a big business.

Sadly, another disadvantages of cell phones usage is the increase in moral standard issues. Cell phone has made it very easy for people to say what they want without thinking of the consequences. The reason behind this is that people get brave to say unmoral statements because they are not face to face with someone, and if it was the other way around the individual will have to think of the consequences that comes with words/actions. In addition, there is a misconception that we can have another personality on internet and social media, like if it social media there were not social rules. Also, a lot of exploited images get send which people don’t realizes once that is sent out it is always out there and this goes back to it could get hacked and shared on the internet which something the individual doesn’t think would happen because it was only intended to the receiver of the picture. Also, you see a lot of sexual harassment going on and legal action are been taken to prosecute the induvial that harass or threat people over text messages.

As for individuals spending time and getting to meet new people has decrease significantly due to cell phones. Today, at your fingertips they have apps that you can look for people you are compatible with, share same interests/ hobbies. Before all this technology, people would go meet through school ,parties, get together , and just hanging out with friends. I would like to add to this, that in today’s time everyone is busy makes interaction with other limited. Also new school models and work models (where you can study and work from home), the social interaction is non-existent, causing that most of our communication with the outside world is through technology.

Another aspect of cell phones is that enables the use of social media such as as Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram to interact with the world by posting picture or statuses of what they are doing. These apps are a good way to communicate with friends and family that may be abroad and when communication is not easy due to time difference. On the other hand if the above issue are not a problem, I personally see these apps as a disadvantage because it can cause jealousy or envy among people you share this precious moments. In addition, several comments can be taken out of contexts and nowadays companies are using social media to determine the type of person you may be before they hire you, even the immigration office of the US is using the social media as means to gather data from people coming to the US under a VISA.

Effect of cell phone on children at a young age is a very big topic in todays time. Children have become able to operate a cell phone at a very young age. In most cases in order for a family to obtain a good life it takes two parents to work which leads to kids getting less attention from their parents . After long days at work some parents give their kids a cell phone/iPad to play a game or watch videos in order to make them to stop crying or keep them occupied. With these behavior habits it is creating child to want to use a cell phone at young age. This has created many effects in today society children are having health issues because they don’t stay active they would rather play video games or on cell phone. This has caused an increase in obesity and medical conditions occurring in children at young ages. For example low vitamin D due to lack of doing outdoor activities. Anger issues because they are not interacting with other at a young age the always think everything has to be there way and once it does happen they get angry.

Finally, the cell phone has a lot of effects on society and the most affected is the environment. On the topic of cell phone and environment it have many effects that many may not be aware of. For example a cell phone recyclable contains battery and carbon foot prints. Nowadays, cell phone carries a status in society. People always want the great and latest cell phone and that shows people what they have . In today’s market cell phone cost a lot of money with most starting at 999 dollars. Company are introducing cell phone along with many other electronic devices every year. Which cases a spike in environment issue because they need to recycle cell phone better.

Conclusion and recommendation:

In conclusion cell phones has made people’s lives easier but at a cost. If people are not carful it causes addition and isolation from the society. With all that this said always be aware and try your best not to become addicted and aware of all the possible impact that may occur to your life.
