Removal of Plastic Bottles on the Course |
After reviewing our water budget for the 2019-2020 fiscal year, I discovered that we purchase an average of 30,000 bottles of water each year. These bottles are loaded in to golf carts for members to enjoy while on the course. This is a wasteful practice and I believe that we need to move our property to a more sustainable water consumption model.
I propose that we install a purified water system that is accessible from the driving range. Having it installed in an open area will provide the visibility needed to promote our new water consumption model. This new model will encourage members to bring their own reusable water bottles, which will eliminate the need for us to purchase water in bottles. . On average, we are spending $7,000 annually purchasing water bottles. Overall, the installation of a purified water system will benefit the company and the environment simultaneously.
Based on our schedules I have made an appointment to review this proposal with you next Tuesday at 11A.M., before our Executive Chef Candidate interview. I am looking forward to presenting you with information that supports how this proposal will benefit our company and the environment.
