numerous awards from different organizations being: Border Texan of the Year Award,

success as Senator.

The other American Republican Senator of Texas is Ted Cruz (Mead). Although he has

only served for 4 years at the age of 46 (Mead), Cruz has membership to multiple committees

such as, the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, the Committee on the

not served as Senator for a long period of time, he has not yet been awarded during his term.

Though he’s made multiple achievements in school from his excellent debating skills where he

obtained a bachelor's degree and graduated at Harvard Law School afterwards (Mead).

Based on my personal opinion and knowledge of the achievements and services of both

two senators and house, they have made a contribution to my own district and Texas itself. Green

made many contributions towards the African American community of my district from his acts.

In doing so, from a scale from 1-10, Green would receive a 7 since many of his notable

accomplishments were mainly dealing with the Black community. Cornyn contributed to many

different factors which acquired him many awards. In his case, Cornyn would receive an 8 as a

result for serving for 15 years with numerous achievements during his term. Although Cruz has

not received any awards yet, he is still serving in multiple committees which contributes to my

district and Texas in such ways. For now, Cruz would obtain a representation of 3 because of his

length of serving and contributions. I have learned who the two US Senators of Texas and the

House of Representatives of my district are and brief biographies of them, showing their

contributions to many organizations, Texas, and my own district.
