Part 2: Individualized Practicum Learning Objectives
During the review of my clinical skills self -assessment form from last week, I realized that my evaluation skills in psychiatry has improved with more confidence especially in the weak areas I mentioned last week (Andrade., 2019). Professional skills development remains one of my most active skills especially in maintaining professional boundaries and calming relationship with patients and staff members. I have demonstrated non-judgmental practice approach towards my patients and being empathetic also. I have greatly improved in psychotherapeutic treatment planning with emphasis in psychoeducation and disease prevention techniques. The other area where I have seen a great improvement in my self-assessment skills, choosing the right screening exam for patients with mental illness, interpreting laboratory, documentation, differentiating between pathophysiological and psychopathological conditions and in recommending psychiatric consults in timely manner. My plan is to acquire more experience in selecting the right screening instrument efficiently and effectively appropriate for the patient’s condition. I would love to develop an achievable SMART goal for my field experience.
The under listed objectives will be a great guide in my practicum experience plans (Yin., 2019).
Objective 1: To Improve Mental health status assessment on my patients at the end of 10 weeks.
Planned Activities: To be able to carry out mental health assessment on not less than 90 mentally ill patients within the practicum experience in order to enhance my clinical knowledge on the assessment requirement for such patients.

· To demonstrate the importance of data in modifying and restructuring health issues.
Objective 3: To identify appropriate practices that guides psychopharmacology plan for my patients in the clinical setting

Mode of Assessment: To observe what evidence-based practices that are used and how to utilize the DSMV . To submit my patient’s log in Meditre and my report to my preceptor
PRAC Course Outcome(s) Addressed:
· To develop a list of suitable evidence-based practices
· To Incorporate DSM V in clinical care settings

Part 3: Projected Timeline/Schedule
I intend to complete the 144 or 160 Practicum hours (as applicable) according to the following timeline/schedule. I also understand that I must see at least 80 patients during my practicum experience. I understand that I may not complete my practicum hours sooner than 8 weeks.
