Cyber security is nothing but the system to secure the system, computer, laptop, work machines from hackers. It is a procedure to make the security of the systems stronger day by day and with new emerging technologies. As there are lot of new software and technologies coming day by day so its hard to keep the system and computer secure and to save the system from malicious attacks is called as cyber security. (solms* & Niekerk, 2013)
Risk management is the procedure to keep the system out of risk. Risk Management is the type of management in which an organization take some steps to prevent, prepare and reduce the attacks from hackers. There are further various types of risks. Such as human risk which includes fraud, error and theft. The other type of risk is natural risk which includes risk such as earthquake, hurricane or any nature disaster. Furthermore, another risk is technical risk which can be due to hardware failure or software or may be from untrained staff or lack in technical knowledge. (Aven, 2015)
The relationship between cyber security and risk management is we can consider the risk involved and try to protect them from hacker using cyber security methods. We can know about the possible risks to our business or systems using risk management.
There are few things which I can use being an IT manager such as two factor authentication, security badges before entering the building, time to time upgradation of new software and technologies to the system and time to time or periodically training of IT staff etc.
From the dashboard, hospitals and government take lot of benefit, it shows the data related to coronavirus. Hospitals can use the data to see the trends and maps of coronavirus affected area. Government can use the data to aware the public and also to take precautions related to virus. Risk management comes into play as the dashboard have and hackers can transform and manipulate the data. Changing the data related to coronavirus could have bad impact on public and government so it should be secured.
