2 THE FIVE UNITED STATES POLICIES THAT IMPACT TRADE WITH FOREIGN
COUNTRIES ARE INTERNATIONAL ORGANIC TRADE POLICY, THE GENERAL
AGREEMENT ON TARIFFS AND TRADE (GATT) ACT OF 1947, THE GENERALIZED
SYSTEM OF PREFERENCES (GSP), FREE-TRADE AGREEMENT (FTA) AND
ANTIDUMPING AND COUNTERVAILING DUTY LAWS. The aim of the trade agreements is
to protect the American people when trading with other countries. 3 SOME POLICIES ARE
BENEFICIAL WHILE OTHERS TEND TO HOLD BACK TRADE RELATIONS
BETWEEN THE TRADING COUNTRIES.

1. The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade Act of 1947 The purpose of the trade agreement was
to get rid of trade barriers, tariffs that hindered the US from trading with other countries.
Agreement with most nations all over the world led to trade relations thus creating World Trade
Organization (Rugman & Verbeke, 2017).
2. Antidumping and Countervailing Duty Laws The trade laws are of 1930 that were meant to
protect US manufacturing countries in other nations from being undercut. The Antidumping Laws
protect foreign imports from being sold at a lesser value than the fair value. On the other hand,
Countervailing policies are realized when a foreign government provides a manufacturing industry
with incentives so that it can sell its product cheaper in the US compared to other domestic
manufacturing industries. Violation of the policies would lead to heavy penalties by the US
government.
3. The Generalized System of Preferences The policy was introduced in developing countries to help
them use their products for foreign trade in order to boost their economic growth. The policy
benefits the United States in that it maintains trade relations which lead to investment in those
nations. 4 THE US IS ABLE TO GET RAW MATERIALS FOR ITS INDUSTRIES
(OFFICE OF THE UNITED STATES TRADE REPRESENTATIVE, 2017).
4. Free-Trade Agreement (FTA) This is a trade agreement that was signed by US and Britain to
allow for free trade and between the two countries. The policy was introduced By Obama who
increasingly sympathized with the United States labor concerns making him turn to trade
liberalization to boost the economy of the country from the 2011 recession. The trade policy was
meant to increase goods and services between the two countries.
5. International Organic Trade Policy The aim of the US policy was to make arrangements with
foreign countries that would ease exchange of organic products. 5 THE MOVE WAS TO
CREATE MARKET OPPORTUNITIES AND BOOST UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT

AGRICULTURE, 2015) IDENTIFY THREE FACTORS OF PRODUCTION, AND

6 THREE FACTORS OF PRODUCTION INCLUDE LABOR, LAND AND CAPITAL. 3
LAND AND LABOR ARE FACTORS SINCE WHEN THERE ARE CHANGES IN THESE
DEFINED AREAS, THE MOBILITY OF TRADE IS INFLUENCED, FOR INSTANCE, IF
THERE IS A PLENITUDE OF TREES THAT CAN BE CHOPPED DOWN, AT THAT
POINT MOBILITY IS DECIDEDLY INFLUENCED, IN LIGHT OF THE FACT THAT
WOOD IS DEPENDABLE IN HIGH DEMAND. IN ANY CASE, IF THERE IS A LACK OF
TREES, AT THAT POINT MOBILITY IS NEGATIVELY INFLUENCED IN LIGHT OF
THE FACT THAT THE DEMAND IS GREATER THAN THE SUPPLY. LABOR
MOBILITY IS GREAT WHEN PEOPLE CAN MOVE AROUND IN THE ACTIVE FORCE,
OBTAINING NEW CAPACITIES AND ACCLIMATING TO THE CHANGING ECONOMY
OF THE NATION, LABOR MOBILITY IS BAD WHEN THERE ARE A BIGGER
NUMBER OF WORKERS THAN THERE ARE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
(OFFICE OF THE UNITED STATES TRADE REPRESENTATIVE, 2017).
5 DISTINGUISH BETWEEN ABSOLUTE ADVANTAGE AND COMPARATIVE
ADVANTAGE TRADE THEORIES AND GIVE EXAMPLES
Absolute advantage happens when the overhead costs of producing an item are lower than in any
other nation in the world. 3 THEY ARE THE NATION THAT WILL BENEFIT MOST
FROM CREATION AND OUTSIDE TRADE, BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE AS HIGH
OVERHEAD COSTS AS DIFFERENT NATIONS AND CAN, THEREFORE, SELL THEIR
ITEMS CHEAPER AND HAVE THE GREATEST ADVANTAGE IN THE
INTERNATIONAL MARKETPLACE. COMPARATIVE ADVANTAGE HAPPENS WHEN
ONE NATION HAS A LOWER OPPORTUNITY COST THAN ANOTHER, FOR
EXAMPLE, IF COMPANY A CAN MAKE A MATTRESS IN 8 HOURS AND CAN MAKE A
TV IN 2 HOURS, AND PROVINCE B CAN MAKE A MATTRESS IN 6 HOURS AND A TV
IN 4 HOURS, COMPANY A HAS THE COMPARATIVE ADVANTAGE BECAUSE IT
JUST TAKES A FOURTH OF AN OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE THE TV WHERE
COMPANY B TAKES HALF AN OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE THE SAME TV (RUGMAN &
VERBEKE, 2017).

SENATE SHOULD RATIFY OR NOT RATIFY THE AGREEMENT, ALSO EXPLAIN
HOW REGIONAL TRADING GROUPS INFLUENCE ORGANIZATIONS.
THE TRANS-PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP IS A TRADE AGREEMENT CONTAINED FOR
THE MOST PART ASIAN-PACIFIC NATIONS AND WAS PLANNED TO OFFER
SECURITIES FOR THE EARTH, AMERICAN INTERESTS, INTELLECTUAL
PROPERTY, AND HUMAN RIGHTS, ANYWAY, THE TPP APPEARS TO HAVE FLAWS
SO MISTAKEN THAT OUR LEADER LEFT THIS AGREEMENT WITH LONG PERIODS
OF TAKING OFFICE. THE ORIGINAL AGREEMENT REPRESENTED THE
POTENTIAL FOR LARGE WELFARE GAINS FOR THE 25% OF THE PRESENT
WORLD TRADE AND 40% OF THE GLOBAL GDP (MURPHY, 2017). 7 DIFFERENT
NATIONS THAT HAVE MARKED ON TO THE TPP INCLUDE AUSTRALIA, BRUNEI,
CANADA, CHILE, JAPAN, MALAYSIA, MEXICO, NEW ZEALAND, PERU,
SINGAPORE AND VIETNAM. 3 THE UNITED STATES SEPARATED ITSELF WITH
THIS AGREEMENT BECAUSE THE PRESIDENT, AND MANY OTHERS, FELT THAT
THIS AGREEMENT WAS DETRIMENTAL TO THE LONG HAUL TRADE
ACHIEVEMENT OF OUR NATION. THE REASONS BEHIND THIS CHOICE WERE
THAT THIS AGREEMENT WOULD TAKE OCCUPATIONS AWAY FROM AMERICA,
ULTIMATELY HARMING THE NATIONAL ECONOMY, LOWERING THE
NOURISHMENT SAFETY STANDARDS OF IMPORTS AND EXPORTS, AND THE
TOTAL SECRECY OF THE AGREEMENT ALL IN ALL. THE U.S. OUGHT NOT TO
RATIFY THIS AGREEMENT AS I TRUST THAT THE PRESIDENT MADE THE BEST
CHOICE FOR OUR NATION.
REGIONAL TRADING GATHERINGS CAN POSITIVELY IMPACT ORGANIZATIONS
INSOFAR AS THE AIM IS TO REARRANGE TRADE BETWEEN NATIONS, THIS,
NOTWITHSTANDING, ISN'T USUALLY THE CASE. Ideally, regional trade agreements
would enable more liberated streaming trade between nations, in any case, in many cases regional
trading gatherings will advocate for charges that don't positively affect nations that are individuals
from the gathering, causing a mandatory change in the law that ultimately benefits the regional
trading gathering (Rugman & Verbeke, 2017).The regional trading bunches that want to make trade
