will design a work break down the structure to show every component and activity of the project

and which will be numbered.

Project Charter A project charter is a statement that contains the objectives of the project. A project

charter is a necessary tool as it makes sure that the project operations are in continuity. The first

activity that I will do to make over the compensation and benefits packages is to make sure that the

compensation strategy, job descriptions, and objectives are accurate and up to date to create an

effective communication plan and a pay structure (Lock, 2017). Motivation and retention of

employees is a crucial factor in business and compensation and benefits contribute to the

preservation and motivation of employees. Salary and benefits are an essential program that

attracts and preserves good employees in the company. Over the past, this firm has had problems

with employee retention where many experienced and skilled employees quit their jobs due to lack

of proper competitive packages which contribute to employee motivation and retention.

Without a proper compensation and benefits programs, there could be a lack of motivation among

employee thus leading to a lack of satisfaction and motivation for the job hence the inability to

perform leading to less production. A compensation package programs entail the mix of rewards

that employees get from the organization. As the head of the manager of the human resource

department, I will develop a project charter that will reform the previous weakened compensation

and benefits package. 2 A PROJECT CHARTER CAN BE DESCRIBED AS AN INFORMAL

CONTRACT BETWEEN THE PROJECT SPONSOR AND THE PROJECT TEAM TO

MAKE SURE THAT THE PROJECT IS SUCCESSFUL AND OVERCOMES

COMPETITION. The project charter will decide what needs to be accomplished and how the

project is going to go forward. Further on the importance of a project charter is that it provides

authorization, commitment, and understanding (Kerzner & Kerzner, 2017). The following is the

project charter that I will use to support the package.

AmeriCorps has not been successful in developing a proper compensations and benefits program in

the past. The rate of dissatisfaction among employees is high leading to a low retention rate.

Objective Statement To come up with a proper and an exceptional compensations and benefits

program and recommend it to realize talents and potentials as well as the dedication of employees.

Goals Design compensations and benefits packages that are sustainable as well as competitive and

which motivates employees to promote high performance and encourage a positive and progressive

working environment.

Business Case Objectives To attract and preserve best talents, conform to the applicable federal and

state laws and guidelines. ensure effective management practices. Make sure that the company has

a consistent and a competitive pay practice.

1 COMMITMENT SIGNATURES OF COMMITMENT

COMMUNICATION PLAN AFTER THE APPROVAL OF THE PROJECT CHARTER, A

COMMUNICATION PLAN WILL BE ESTABLISHED. THE COMMUNICATION PLAN

AIMS TO OUTLINE THE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTICIPANTS

OF THE PROJECT DURING APPROVAL, REVIEW, AND PROPAGATION OF

INFORMATION CONCERNING THE CRITICAL PROCESSES, DOCUMENTS, EVENTS,

AND MILESTONES. Management of communication involves the keeping of every project

participant in the loop. The method of communication planning is all about the type of information

being delivered and who is the receiver of the data. A communication plan is essential as it will help

overcome any barriers or challenges of communication to make it smooth and open. 4 A

COMMUNICATION PLAN IS A POLICY-DRIVEN APPROACH THAT OFFERS

STAKEHOLDERS WITH INFORMATION. A proper communication plan details which should

distribute specific information and when that information should be distributed and what

communication channels should be followed to disseminate that information. An effective

communication plan will assist in the management of exceptions, make sure that the methods

applied for communication are well-organized, deliver appropriate precise, consistent information

every time, guarantee significant communication levels and produce sustainable enthusiasm that

will support the project. More to the matrix, I will decide to hold a meeting with the team, members

and discuss the communication plan as well as ensuring that they abide by the set rules and

guidelines and leave the floor open for questions and other discussions.

This project is most likely to be affected by external factors which such as corporate mergers,

economic trends, and technology trends. To make communication useful through an efficient

communication plan I will use simple syndication technology that allows the project leaders to

subscribe to online news and get the feeds occasionally. Email or electronic mail is another media

of communication that will be used to coordinate activities between the team leaders and the team

members. This type of press is active as it can send information to all team members, messages are

easily saved on the cloud storage, and one can refer to them in case of miscommunication and

scope statement in a written form to confirm the results the project will register and constraints as

well as assumptions under which the project leader and the manager which will be worked

(Dummies, 2014). Reliable and adequate compensation and package program ought to be made. To

create this project and a practical plan, job evaluation, job analysis and job performance will be

conducted. The aim of having a job analysis is to allow the team leader and the team members to

analyze and detail each job position within the organization fully, job evaluation would be best to

determine what jobs are valuable on an absolute basis and the job performance would help in

coming up with rate ranges. The compensation and the benefits program will be purposefully based

and aligned with the vision of the organization and its goals and thoroughly analyze them. The

components of the newly designed compensation and benefits program will include retirement,

healthcare, vision insurance, and dental insurance, sick leave, social security, unemployment

insurance, paid vacation, worker’s compensation, holiday time and personal leave time (Binder,

2016).

The project management team will work effectively, and it will be determined to provide all the

required resources to make sure that the best plan is created and presented. Also, the management

team will guarantee that the goals are met within the allocated time to make sure that the project is

on budget. The team members will be obligated to make a report of their progress on their specific

operations and the overall satisfaction of employees to me, the head of the human resources,

project manager, and the executive sponsor. The last step of the Project Management Framework is

project closure. At this phase, the finished project is delivered to customers. This stage allows the

project team to evaluate and document the project. At times, project management may be a

complicated process. This is it is essential to break down project management into phases for

simpler for management.

3 PROJECT MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL (PMP) IS THE MOST IMPORTANT

CERTIFICATION FOR PROJECT MANAGERS THAT IS OFFERED BY THE PROJECT

MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE. The following are requirements to become a certified project

management professional (Joseph et al., 2018).

· Educational Background. One should have a secondary degree such as high school diploma,

associate’s diploma or a global equivalent. Also, bachelor’s degree or its equivalent is acceptable for

educational qualifications of PMP.

· Project Minimum Experience. The Institute requires that applicants to have spent some time in

managing projects to qualify for the certification. For those applicants with a secondary degree,

they should have a minimum of five years' 5 EXPERIENCE IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT.

During those five years, at least 7500 hours should have been spent in supervising the project. For

those with a bachelor’s degree, they should have a minimum of three-year experience in managing

projects. Within those five years, at least 4500 hours should have been spent on project

supervision.

5 · PROJECT MANAGEMENT EDUCATION. Both applicants with a secondary degree and

bachelor's degree should have 35 contact hours of formal education to qualify for the certification.

6 WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE

After the charter of the project has been completed, the designing of the communication plan as

well as the completion of the scope, the breakdown of the structure follows. 1 WORK

BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE IS A PROCEDURE WHICH SUPPORTS PROJECT

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT WHICH IS INTEGRATED AS WELL AS CONTROL. The

main feature of a project business management planning efforts or what can be termed as the heart

is the structure (Servello et al., 2002). 2 THIS IS BECAUSE IT EXPRESSES THE SIMPLE

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE WHICH IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE

FRAMEWORK RELATED TO DEVELOPMENT AS WELL AS SCOPE MAINTENANCE,

BUDGET, SCHEDULE EVALUATION OF PERFORMANCE AS WELL AS STATUS

DATA COLLECTION. Other than defining and organizing the project work, the work breaks

down structure may be helpful in the determination of possible risks in a specific project. If there

exists a branch of a work breakdown structure whose definition is not appropriate, it brings out a

representation of a scope definition risk. As the project executes, these risks ought to be tracked in

the logs of the project and should be reviewed. In cases when the project might seem to be falling

behind, referring work breakdown structure will immediately identify the significant deliverables

To sum up, being in control of the human resource department is a very challenging task. Even

though it is not that easy, I have managed to come up with a successful plan which I have a

conviction that it will be competitive as well as useful in retaining as well as motivating the

employees. I do not doubt the workability of the plan because I have outlined the all the necessary

steps needed in the creation of a well-managed project. I have successfully come up with the charter

of the project, developed a work breakdown structure and defined the scope. These elements are

very essential during the development of a plan.
