Should students be allowed to eat during lectures?

Generally, eating is the process to keep ourselves energized and healthy. Eating is the basic habit of human beings for living. If people stop eating, then they start to lose their energy and ultimately, they will lose their life. In case of the students the questions arise whether they should be allowed to eat during lectures or not? There are different consequences that might come if the students are not allowed to eat in class. The positive and negative aspect of this habit should be equally analyzed in order to get better conclusion over this topic.

If students are allowed to eat in class, then they get chance to save their time roaming outside the class and this helps them to be punctual in their class. At the same time, they feel energized so that they can give their best in the class and perform well in that subject. But the point is what happens if they get distracted from the lecture? They might give their important time in eating their food and enjoying the taste of their food instead of listening to the professor. This activity can irritate the professor as well as other students present in the class. So, the main point is that there should be appropriate steps that should be taken before taking any kinds of the discussion on this topic in order to study and realize both the positive and negative aspects of this habit properly.
