Rubric for Grading Papers Based on Similarity

Less than 30% - no deductions

30-40% - 10% reduction in project grade

40-50% - 15% reduction in project grade

50-60% - 20% reduction in project grade

60-70% - 25% reduction in project grade

70-80% - 30% reduction in project grade

80-90% - 40% reduction in project grade

90-100% - 50% reduction in project grade

Only includes phrases of 8 words or more

Discounts sources with less than 10% similarity A submission may NOT contain more than 30% citations/references. Doing so will result in an automatic deduction equivalent to the scale above. Note: This deduction is in addition to any other deductions, including the similarity deduction above.
