The majority of the paper is dedicated to analyzing one foreign policy event decision and its contributing factors.

Analysis is focused on HOW and WHY the foreign policy event occurred.

Information from the course is integrated into the analysis, from psychological biases to domestic versus international.

At least one theory from the class (i.e., Realism, Liberalism, etc.) is used to analyze the case.

Analysis is relevant, makes sense and is supported through research and documentation.

A strong introduction mentions the event, major players, outcome and gives a preview of the analysis, including theories, biases, etc.
