Feedback to Learner
Yolanda, Thank you for all your hard work on this essay. It very much ts as a capstone, and I hope the process has been helpful in developing your thinking. You take up an important part of the writing process here (generating a rst draft), and it's a thorny issue from a pedagogical perspective, as idea generation is something that is dicult to guide a student through. Overall, you touch on some of the issues that surround rst drafts here, but I'm somewhat surprised by some of the broad comments about education/students/teaching in general. Put briey, the essay could be strengthened by a greater focus on drafting/composition in particular. Additionally, the sources could be better used, as in many cases, I'm not even sure what it is that you're citing (your usage is also uncommon in MLA, which generally features much more specic citations). Were you to take up the issue again, I'd encourage a deeper dive into the secondary literature specically. Especially in a course like this, I would much prefer getting to comment more fully on your work, but we have a very short turn-around on a number of projects in these nal weeks. Please do reach out to me if you'd like to discuss your work more fully. I'm always happy to do so, despite the ocial end of our course. I hope you're well, and let me know if I can be of help with anything. All Best, AW
