HEA 640 Milestone Two Guidelines and Rubric Higher education institutions are known as incubators of human ideology and theory that progress into inventions of change and advancement that influence the operations of the world as we know it. This development entails a large amount of structure and planning to ensure that institutional stakeholders are equipped with the necessary tools. For a higher education administrator, planning is an essential component to the success of your students and the institution. Now that you have been assigned a very important task (i.e., the development of an institutional response plan), you must structure and plan your work to ensure that ideas connect to each other and are fleshed out enough to apprehend your objective. The best way to accomplish this would be through an outline. With the micro-outline, you will go into particular details about the response plan, addressing your integrated approach to regain compliance with the regulatory change. Thus, it is important that you are well-versed on the main elements that a regulatory response plan consists of, to ensure that you and your team compose a comprehensive outline of a plan that will help the institution regain and maintain compliance. Actions of implementation, identified roles, resources, communication, and compliance sustainability are vital areas that you must address in your outline. In Module Five, you will submit a detailed outline of your response plan for your chosen regulatory change. The outline will address the main components of the plan in terms of action recommendations, key players, resources, a communications system, and compliance assurance. The goal of developing an outline is to help you organize your ideas based on the content already covered so that your instructor is able to offer feedback to ensure that you are on the correct path to an efficient and effective response plan for your institution. Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:

I. Response Plan a. Make recommendations on the actions that the institution should take in order to respond to the regulatory decision.

i. What must be done to move the institution into compliance? ii. Which roles at an institution would be important in this process?

b. Describe the resources that the institution will need to commit to respond to the regulation.

II. Conclusion a. Describe how your response will ensure that the institution will maintain compliance with federal regulatory civil rights requirements in the

future.

Guidelines for Submission: Your paper must be submitted as a two- to three-page Microsoft Word document with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, one-inch margins, and at least three sources cited in APA format.
