HEA 540 Module Six Journal Guidelines and Rubric

Success and Challenges Overview: This journal assignment offers the chance for you to consider parts of the evaluation plan, which is the third milestone (due in the next module). You will think about ways to mitigate institutional challenges and measure the success of your recommendations. Remember that this journal assignment is due by Thursday at 11:59 p.m. of your local time zone. Journals are private between student and instructor. Prompt: What does success look like? This is the question posed in the module overview. This journal assignment is the chance for you to describe what success looks like in terms of implementing your program recommendations and mitigating the potential institutional challenges associated with implementing and evaluating your recommendations. Part of this plan is to consider the time sequence for implementing and evaluating these recommendations. What do you need to do, and when do you need to do it? Which parts of your plan depend on the actions of others, and how might these actions impact your time sequence? In your final project, you will be able to create any type of visual that appropriately conveys the information; the visual does not have to be a timeline. You do not have to create the visual for this journal assignment; you just need to discuss the content and format of the visual. Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:

 Measuring Success: Outline the specific process by which you will measure the success of your recommendations once they are implemented. What are the steps you will need to take to measure the success of your recommendations? What further information or indicators will you need to find and verify?

 Institutional Challenges: Explain how you will address and mitigate institutional challenges related to implementing and evaluating your recommendations. Be sure to include specific examples.

 Time Sequence: Discuss how you will illustrate a time sequence for measuring success of program evaluation recommendations. You do not have to create the visual for this journal assignment; you just need to discuss the content and format of the visual. This can be any type of visual that appropriately conveys the information; it does not have to be a timeline.

 Questions: Discuss any concerns you have about measuring the success of your recommendations, mitigating institutional challenges, or illustrating a time sequence for measuring the success of your recommendations. What questions do you have for your instructor?

Rubric Guidelines for Submission: Submit assignment as a Word document with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Remember that this journal assignment is due by Thursday at 11:59 p.m. of your local time zone. Your journal assignment should be at least 4 well-developed paragraphs in length, with at least 1 paragraph for each critical element.
