Assignment Rubric

This rubric applies to written assignments in this course, including homework, quizzes, projects

and exams.

Criteria 1: Correctness of answers – 50% of total points.

Details: How correct your answers are in relation to solving the questions that are answered.

Points: top is 5 points and bottom is 0 point.

 5 point: fully correct or with minor errors.

 4 point: mostly correct or with some errors.

 3 point: half correct or contain major errors.

 2 point: minimal correct.

 0 point: no correct answer.

Criteria 2: Detailed answers – 40% of total points.

Details: How detailed your work, steps, equations, methods, calculations, tables and graphs are

in relation to solving questions that are asked.

 4 point: full credit contains fully worked out problems.

 3 point: partial credit contains partially worked out problems.

 2 point: half credit contains some worked out problems.

 0 point: no credit contains minimal worked out problem.

Criteria 3: Instructions – 10% of total points.

Details: How well you follow the instruction of the assignment.

 1 point: full credit, fully followed the instructions.

 0 point: no credit, did not follow the instructions.
