Character-Based Communication

Thank you for taking the Kendall Life Languages Profile™ (KLLP™). We have no doubt it can help you to truly understand yourself and others and be more successful in all your communication. By building on the productive character qualities of your primary and descending Life Languages, and working to overcome the non-productive ones, you can demonstrate Character-Based Communication. Understanding the LIFE Languages™ and applying this knowledge can positively and dramatically change your relationships forever.

Your Overall Intensity: High (80)

Your Intensity Level is HIGH. The Intensity score reveals the strength, energy and passion shown in communication. The higher the Intensity score, the higher the drive to communicate. High Intensity is often an indication of someone who will fight for their opinion to be considered and to exercise control, (whether directly or indirectly) and will do more to maintain communication and relationships. They may also be more prone to conflict. High Intensity persons tend to draw attention, which can create an image of an individualistic personality. Lower Intensity scores indicate those who generally do not compete to be heard, although they may have valuable contributions to make and are sometimes overlooked or ignored. The chart above gives your intensity on each language as well as your overall intensity.

Language Intensity

Each Life Language has it’s own individual intensity. The strength of the intensity score reveals the level of energy for that specific Life Language. In the final anaylsis, overall intensity score is more of a determinant on the forcefulness of an individual’s communication.

Gap

Gap is the distance between two different Life Languages. We measure the gap between the nearest two Life Languages. The greater the gap, the more effort it takes to move from one Life Language to the other. The smaller the gap, the easier it is to move between the two Life Languages.

Your Accumulated Range: Moderate

Your RANGE SCORE is considered MODERATE. The RANGE GAP between your primary and secondary language scores is considered MODERATE. Range is the difference between your Primary and Seventh Life Languages. A high or low score is neither better nor worse, though very meaningful. A High Range means that the individual tends to stand out in his or her Primary language and has a more definable behavior and communication style; however, that individual may have more difficulty communicating with those who speak his or her weaker languages.A Low Range may mean that the individual tends to communicate easily with all the languages, but may be less predictable and understandable to others, and sometimes even to themselves. The failure to understand range is one of the primary causes of communication difficulties. You will also want to look at the range (gap) between each language and how the range increases with each descending language to give you the above score.

Your Primary Life Language: Doer 73 (High) KendallLife Languages Profile™

MAGNATIE SOUMAHORO- 11/18/2018 ©Life Languages Institute, Inc. Page 5

Doer Summary – Kinetic Category

High Doers are dedicated, observant, diligent, practical, efficient, and responsible. Your KLLP™ indicates that you are a High Doer. You are observant of practical needs and will take action to meet those needs. While others may socialize, you see what needs to be done and just do it. You are conscientious, finish what you start, and deliver what you promise on schedule.

As a High Doer, you tend to get on a roll when doing something and may work long and hard without being aware

of it. High Doers do not like to stop before something is finished. You typically have a high energy level to do the job. You may not necessarily like to initiate things, i.e. new businesses, new territories, and so forth, but you can keep things going after they get started.

You are organized, consistent, and dependable. You like short-range objectives and projects that you can start and finish within a specified period of time. You typically do not like long-term projects unless they are broken into more manageable tasks.

You are generally not a risk taker and do not like change unless you know it is truly necessary. It is not unusual to find Doers who stay with the same company for many years, especially if the company respects and appreciates them. Doers tend to be loyal and conscientious friends and employees. You can be fair- minded, looking for pragmatic solutions to life's problems.

You generally prefer to be a support person and/or a part of a team rather than an up-front leader or on- stage personality. However, if the situation calls for it, you can become an effective speaker and leader.

While you protest the spotlight, you can appreciate recognition and respect for a job well done. Doers keep the "wheels of progress" rolling, and generally do what is necessary to be successful.

The world needs more people like you - the dedicated, diligent, energetic, responsible Doer. These characteristics make you a trustworthy person, and a person of great value.

The Doer Icon

■ Name – The way the Doer name is printed indicates how Doers function in their careers and relationships. Doers reach levels of success in both by moving steadily up the ladder of success, one step at a time.

■ Category – The little hand holding the hammer in the bottom right corner is the symbol of the Kinetic Category (or Action Category). Doers tend to hammer on tasks until they have completed them. Because Doers speak an action-oriented language, they are ready,

willing, able, and delighted to jump in to help whenever and wherever they observe a practical need.

■ To Do List – The "To Do" list is how Doers like to manage their lives. Doers prefer short-range goals that can be accomplished in a day, a week, or a weekend. Not only do Doers make lists, but they work from them. Other LIFE Languages™ may make lists, but they either lose them or forget to use them. Doers hold on to their lists and typically use them effectively to stay organized.

■ Hand – The hand is symbolic of hands-on work. Doers can be successful at most things, but they are generally quite gifted at hands-on work and activities, whether that work is writing, building, cleaning, etc. or being diligent and focused on relationships.

■ Completed – The completed stamp in the icon symbolizes the immense satisfaction that Doers derive from checking items off of their list. Doers like to finish what they start and symbolically stamp “Completed” as they check things off their list.

■ Eye – The eye in the icon represents the Doer's eye for detail. Doers seem to observe the practical, the details, and the physical needs around them that others may not even notice or be aware of.

■ Color – The Doer color is warm Orange.

Doer Keys for Success

D oe

r

Filter “Are you doing your share?”

Need Appreciation & Action

Passion To Finish

Key Character Strength Trustworthiness

Filter Each Life Language has an internal filter screening incoming and outgoing communication. These invisible filters are like wearing colored glasses and since the Doer’s color is "Construction" Orange, imagine that you see the world through that color’s sensitive filter. The Doer's Filter is: “Are you doing your share?” You are capable and competent, and you do many things well. It is easy for a Doer to feel that they are, "The only ones who ever do anything around here!" As a Doer, you can choose to make a conscious paradigm shift and turn the filter question into a positive filter statement saying, “We all have different talents, and I celebrate our differences.” Remember the talents and gifting of others, while they may be very different from you own, are equally as important and should be appreciated for what they are.

Need From Others – Appreciation and Action Each Life Language has needs that are met through personal and professional relationships. When met, we experience fulfillment and contentment. Doers feel loved, valued, and motivated by receiving Appreciation from others for all the “Doer” things they do. And Action: Doers like for others to do things, too ... to do their share. Doers keep the wheels of progress running smoothly at work and at home, and it means a lot to them to know that others notice and appreciate their efforts and hard work.

Passion – To Finish Passion is the spark that makes your life worth living. Each Life Language has a Passion that inspires and gives direction to their communication style. The Doer's Passion is: "To Finish." You like completed

projects, checking them off your mental or actual list. Finishing gives you a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. Your desire to finish your projects makes you a conscientious, hard worker, and a valuable addition to any family, group, or team.

Key Character Strength – Trustworthiness Each Life Language has many character strengths, but there is one that is the primary or key character strength and generally very pronounced in that person. Trustworthiness is the Key Character Strength of the Doer. Trustworthiness is defined as “deserving of trust or confidence, dependable, and reliable.” Healthy Doers do what they say they will do, and finish what they start with excellence, being persons of their word.

Doer Needs for Success

The following trait and habit are indispensable to your overall success in life.

Essential Trait – Develop Delegation A trait is “a distinguishing characteristic or personal quality.” Each Life Language has an Essential Trait that is vital to the success of that Life Language. It is important for this trait to be developed and safeguarded in order for you to succeed.

The Essential Trait of a Doer is to Develop Delegation abilities. To a Doer, it seems a waste of time to delegate, teach, and train others when you can do it better and faster yourself. However, Successful Doers acquire this trait.

Success Habit – “Look Beyond the Immediate and See the Important” A habit is “an acquired behavior regularly followed until it has become almost natural to you.” Each Life Language has a Success Habit that demonstrates maturity and healthy character. This Success Habit will help you experience a positive difference in your life. The Success Habit for you as a Doer is “Look Beyond the Immediate and See the Important.” Doers see the immediate and practical needs which often seem very urgent. Sometimes Doers may be so task oriented that they miss the truly important things such as relationships, long-range planning, sitting, talking, understanding, having fun, or maybe even "doing" nothing. Determine what is important and be willing to place the important above the urgent. By realizing the difference, you will find greater success and fulfillment in your life.

Career Information

Every Life Language can be a leader, but each does it differently. One Leadership Style is not more important or successful than any other. Just as there are seven great LIFE Languages,™ there are also seven great Leadership Styles.

Doers are hands-on-leaders who lead by focusing on the practical, immediate and current needs of the job. They work to create an organization that is functional, dependable and holds to what is proven and true. Successful leaders hire people to fill and cover the weaknesses of the leader and to the strengths of each of the seven LIFE Languages,™ so as not to over duplicate themselves. Doer leaders lead by example often working harder than most. Exceptional Doer leaders have learned and implemented their Essential Trait of Delegation, as well as the Doer Success Habit of Looking Beyond the Immediate to See the Important.

Cultural Philosophy

Your Primary Life Language: Doer 73 (High) KendallLife Languages Profile™

MAGNATIE SOUMAHORO- 11/18/2018 ©Life Languages Institute, Inc. Page8

“Each of us is responsible to do our jobs. If we will all diligently reach our objectives by completing our tasks in a trustworthy way, our industriousness and reputation will make us successful.”

Doers as Employees Doers make excellent employees. They generally prefer a structured environment where they know the expectations and the procedures. When given an assignment, healthy Doers are trustworthy to see that it is done, correctly and timely.

Example Professions Doers are found in a variety of professions, and understanding your Life Language should in no way limit you from exploring any profession you are drawn to. Remember the Doer Passion is “To Finish”, so look for jobs where you can divide your tasks into short range, reachable time lines and measurable accomplishments. Doers are often engineers, draftsmen, nurses, carpenters, tailors, doctors, dentists, accountants, computer operators, programmers, jewelers, craftsmen, and in manufacturing/construction. Doers are successful in any jobs that require repetition, responsibility, awareness of detail, and diligence. Doers also like hands on jobs. Remember, the higher you are in the Doer Life Language, the more you will do what is necessary to be successful.

Fun Facts

Doer Color and Music There are seven colors in the color spectrum and seven whole musical notes. In 1666, Sir Isaac Newton united in one mathematical matrix the phenomena of light and sound, and it continues today as the color- music code. Colors vibrate and the measurement of the vibration corresponds with the vibration of the musical notes.

Color – "Construction" Orange Orange is associated with a roaring fire, candlelight, and the invigorating sun. Orange represents growth, expansion, perseverance, dedication, and diligence. Orange stimulates, energizes, and creates an environment for productivity. Productive Doers prefer short-range goals, and the beautiful orange rising sun gives the Doer a brand new day each morning for accomplishments.

Doer’s Core Value A Core Value is the central, most important principle or standard characteristic for that particular Life Language. All the aspects of your Life Languages (your Filter, your Need, your Passion, and your Key Character Strength) come together to reveal what that Life Language values most.

The Core Value for the Doer Life Language is: FAIRNESS (Meaning: equality, equity, without discrimination or favoritism).

Doer’s Motto “If it needs to be done, just do it. -- Get it done.”

Nature Symbol – Beaver

The Nature Symbol for the Doer Life Language is the "Busy" BEAVER. Beavers are busy, diligent, hard working, and tireless. Beavers like to work on projects alone, but their nature is to also work, live and do things in community. Beavers may build the dam together, but each cuts down his own tree. They work hard providing food and shelter for their families. Doer are often referred to as ‘busy as a beaver.”

Your Second Life Language: Mover 63 (Moderate) KendallLife Languages Profile™

MAGNATIE SOUMAHORO- 11/18/2018 ©Life Languages Institute, Inc. Page 10

Mover Summary – Kinetic Category

Movers are characterized by being direct, assertive, pioneering, having integrity, courage, passion, are persuasive, intuitive, protective and a standard bearer. Your KLLP™ indicates you are a Moderate Mover. This means that you will have some of the Mover characteristics, some of the time, especially when you choose to access them.

Moderate Movers can be direct and assertive when the need arises. You are probably physically and mentally agile and alert. When the situation calls for it, you

are ready to move into action.

You have strong convictions and standards in most areas of your life. The inner character and motives of others are important to you. You attempt not to ask or require more of others than you require of yourself. The higher your Mover score is, the more of a risk taker and innovator you will be. You are good at expressing your beliefs, desires, and opinions, as well as putting them into action. When you believe in something, you have both the inclination and the ability to get involved. When needed, you can take charge or lead.

Because you can be assertive when you choose to be, you may find yourself occasionally impatient with those who are slower to act or make decisions.

There are times when you are a visionary who can be innovative and bold. And when it is important to you, you can show courage for the things and people you care about. You have many of the excellent Mover characteristics, which will serve you well on your road to success in life.

Your Third Life Language: Responder 62 (Moderate) KendallLife Languages Profile™

Responder Summary – Emotive Category

Responders are typically characterized by being compassionate, passionate, sensitive, warm, protective, multifaceted, rescuing and easy to communicate with. Your KLLP™ indicates that you are a Moderate Responder. This means that you will have some of the Responder characteristics some the time and perhaps on occasion, most of them.

As a Moderate Responder, you can be effectively used in today's hurting world, finding that you can activate some of the positive Responder qualities when needed.

You tend to prefer peaceful relationships and conditions. Conflict probably bothers you, but by disengaging from it, you can retain personal peacefulness. This can give you the ability to be a good negotiator or mediator.

You will have occasions when you can freely show warmth and affection with pats on the back and hugs. However, you probably will not be that way all the time with everyone. Moderate Responders usually realize when this is appropriate and when it could be misunderstood, such as in the workplace.

Whether developed or not, it is within you to be creative and imaginative. As a Moderate Responder you can find joy in the creative expression of your feelings and thoughts. Look for ways to express yourself creatively.

You look for the best in others, giving them the benefit of the doubt, but are equally capable of seeing their faults, and usually neither surprises you.

One of your strong character qualities is compassion, yet as a Moderate Responder you may be selective in who you show compassion to, generally choosing those in your immediate circle, or those who are hurting that you can relate to.

You can be an effective leader whom others want to follow because they know you care. In leadership positions you will generally be protective, supportive and rescue those in need.

Among all the Life Languages, Responders are ones with tremendous potential for good because they care so deeply for others. Celebrate the fact that you are a Moderate Responder and can move to your Responder Life Language character qualities when your higher Life Languages are not working for you, or when you need to “speak” Responder in order to connect with another. Remember, you have it within you to be sensitive, warm, protective, compassionate, rescuing, multifaceted, and passionate toward others and life when it is appropriate and when you choose to. Producer Summary – Cognitive Category

Producers are characterized by management skills, graciousness, responsibility, are philanthropic, resourceful, thoughtful, and hospitable. Your KLLP™ Producer score is in the Low range. Typically this means you will innately have few, if any, of these characteristics. Those you do have will usually be because you have learned from life experiences and chosen to develop them. Since Low Producers are generally not as naturally gifted in the management of finances and resources, if you have learned or been trained in these areas, it is a credit to your successful development. Congratulations!

Those who are High or Very High Producers may be difficult for you to relate to or understand, requiring effort on your part. Like any of the 7 Life Languages, the characteristics of the Producer can be recognized and utilized when communicating with another person. Since you speak all 7 Life Languages, in descending order, you have it within yourself to move to your Producer when necessary to connect with someone. Continuously communicating in your Low or Very Low Life Languages for a prolonged period of time can lead to burn out. By decision when appropriate you can connect and show love by speaking to their filter to meet their need, igniting their passion, thereby validating their major character quality.

Communication Indicators

Just as a thermometer can indicate air or body temperature, the following factors give you further insight into your communication style. They do impact and play a role in your communication but do not determine your communication style. The following Indicators are scored High, Moderate and Low. These scales differ from your Seven LIFE Languages™ scales, as Indicators may change through life experiences and choices.

Indicator Score Result 1. Acceptance Level 29 Low 2. Interactive Style Introvert 88 High 3. Internal Control 29 Low 4. Intrusion Level 56 Moderate 5. Projective Level 98 High 6. Susceptibility To Stress 29 Low 7. Learning Preference Order

Visual 42 Moderate Physical 29 Moderate Auditory 29 Moderate

1. Acceptance Level

This scale measures how you tend to view yourself, whether you more easily see your strengths and positive attributes or your weaknesses and negative qualities. Or whether you see a balance between the two—easily and honestly seeing both your negatives and positives qualities.

Your Acceptance Level - Low (29)

A LOW Acceptance Level indicates that you tend to have more introspection and awareness of your weaknesses than your strengths or positive attributes. You have many positive attributes, and can choose to identify and develop awareness of them, although you will usually have to work through the negatives to get there. Positive input about yourself by others possibly makes you uncomfortable. Focusing more on your strengths, positive attributes and successes can raise a Low Acceptance Level. It may be easier for you to see the positive things about others than it is to see your own. You may be very open and sometime perhaps too open to advice and counsel, trusting others’ insights more confidently than you do your own.

2. Interactive Style

This scale indicates how comfortable you are with people most of the time. The KLLP™ measurement of Introvert and Extrovert is somewhat different from other measurements; it measures preference rather than

Making the most of your KLLP™ KendallLife Languages Profile™

MAGNATIE SOUMAHORO - 11/18/2018 ©LIFE Languages v 2.0 (2012.3.15) Page 17

overall behavior. For example, it measures whether you prefer working alone or in groups, or working with those you know or do not know. As another example, according to our measurements, a person who scores as an Introvert may seem outgoing and somewhat extroverted to those he or she knows well. However, with strangers or those not known as well, the Introvert will typically be less verbal, less outgoing, and not desire to mix with them.

Your Interactive Style – Introvert (88)

Your KLLP™ indicates that you are comfortable not being the center of attention unless you are with people you know well. You are comfortable working behind the scenes, and enjoy small groups (or one-on-one). Constantly being around a lot of people, especially those you do not know well, can be exhausting and you may withdraw to prevent stress. You also may be self-motivated and enjoy working alone; however, when working with groups, you prefer those you know well or people you are comfortable with.

3. Internal Control Level

This scale indicates how you see yourself in the area of self-discipline or self-governing vs. spontaneity or impulsiveness. Generally speaking, if we have high Internal Control, we are less prone to being externally controlled, either by others, circumstances, or experiences. Some people prefer to get tasks done ahead of schedule, and some seem to work better or more creatively doing things at the last minute under a time pressure. The higher our Internal Control, the more disciplined, and our lower the Internal Control the more flexible and spontaneous we are.

Your Internal Control Level – Low (29)

A Low Internal Control level suggests you are likely to be flexible or spontaneous and possibly impulsive, as opposed to being more self-disciplined. This may mean that you can be a “spur of the moment” kind of person. Self discipline for you is probably by choice, decision, and determination, or when the situation or task is important or demanding. Doing something more enjoyable may often pull you away unless you have chosen to add self-government to your character. A paradox in your life is that you will probably do well in an environment that requires flexibility, yet has existing structure.

4. Intrusion Level

This scale measures how you see yourself handling interruptions, intrusions, interference, outside stimuli, people, or situations foreign to you, usually uninvited or unexpected. Intrusion Levels indicates how comfortable and tolerant you are with distractions and differences. Some people like a more structured environment, and others flow more easily with uninvited or unscheduled people or situations. For all of us, a good habit to form is the ability to gently or kindly communicate when intrusions become an issue.

Your Intrusion Level - Moderate (56)

Your score indicates that you are probably about average in dealing with intrusion, interruptions, and outside interference. Your reaction or response to outside stimuli such as people and unexpected circumstances would not be excessive. You have the ability to accept and tolerate much of life as it comes most of the time, but there are also times when you are bothered. You usually handle these unexpected intrusions well - depending on your situation - allowing some amount of time to deal with them, but not letting them take all your time inappropriately.

5. Projective Indicator

This scale indicates how important other’s perception and opinion is to you. For example: a person with a high projective score could be greatly concerned if others had a less than positive opinion of them. A person with a low score would probably shrug it off and not let it bother them. A balance between high and low is valuable because it provides objectivity so that you can evaluate others attitudes about yourself and thereby remain teachable.

Your Projective Level – High (98)

A High Projective Level indicates that you desire for others to like you, and you expect favor. If that does not occur, then you want them to at least respect you. When you experience or perceive indifference, disrespect, or dislike, you are typically stressed and troubled. If it is not handled quickly and appropriately, it can become distress. A person with a High Projective Level generally tries hard to please others, and because of this, could be somewhat easier to motivate and a good employee. Those with High Projective Level must guard themselves to be sure they don’t try to please everyone, thereby, being subject to burn out and/or peer pressure.

6. Susceptibility To Stress

This scale measures vulnerability to stress that comes into our lives. Stress is in all of our worlds, and comes from various sources, even from having too many good things going on at one time. We are more susceptible to stress when we are too busy, lacking sleep, not feeling well, fatigued, frustrated, lacking exercise, and even unable to express ourselves adequately. Failure to handle stress properly can cause us to move into one or more of the Distress Levels of our Life Languages. We can learn to recognize our stress and do what is necessary to de-stress. Distress, by Life Languages definition, is when you respond negatively to any situation.A key to avoid over reaction to stress and distress is H.A.L.T. Avoid stressful situation when your are: H-hungry, A-angry, L-lonely and T-tired.

Your Susceptibility To Stress – Low (29)

A low susceptibility to stress indicates that, when in stressful situations or when dealing with problems or crises you tend to remain calm rather than overly excited or even panicked. You most likely respond to challenging or unpleasant situations in a similar manner as you do under normal conditions. By allowing stress to pass over you, it is not likely to be a factor in causing you to descend into your Distress Levels. On the other hand, persons who have a Low Susceptibility to Stress may be less aware of danger and may not notice that something is different or amiss as a hyper-vigilant, High Susceptibility to Stress person would.

7. Learning Preference

There are three basic Learning Styles and our preferential way is the one that is easiest for us. We learn in all three ways, but when there is a choice, the one that is more natural, distinct, and clear will typically be our preference. It will usually be our most effective way to experience and sharpen our learning skills.

Your Learning Preference – Visual (42)

Your profile indicates that you are a “Visual” learner. You tend to think in pictures. For example, when learning something new, or learning how to do something, you prefer to see the item, equipment, or at least a picture or diagram. The visual picture stays with you. If you can see it as you learn, you remember it. When you hear or read information, you usually translate it into a visual “picture” in your mind. When someone tells you a story, you often hear it “visually”...the words become pictures. You probably read body language and facial expressions well also. Watching instructive DVDs would be a valuable method of learning for you.

Applying the Seven LIFE Languages™ ™

We encourage you to read, reflect, study, and review your KLLP™ carefully. The more you understand the LIFE Languages™, the more ways you will find to apply them in your relationships. Typically, those who have LIFE Languages™ similar to our own are initially easier for us to communicate and get along with. However, learning to accept and understand the differences in each of the seven LIFE Languages™ can bridge those differences in our Languages. Those very differences can often bring balance and strength to relationships. Try to get together with others who have taken the KLLP™ to discuss and compare your LIFE Languages™ in positive, constructive ways. You will find this to be a great adventure.

When interacting with those who have not taken the KLLP™, remember that the two most frequently spoken LIFE Languages™ by both men and women are Responder (32% of the population) and Doer (28%). Producers are 3% of the population. The other three LIFE Languages™ represent about 10%-13% of the population. So until you get all your friends, family, and co-workers to take the KLLP™ for themselves, if you speak to most people as though they were either Responders or Doers, you probably will not be too far off.

Remember, Responders need unconditional acceptance, and Doers need approval for their accomplishments and for you to do your share of the work. You will be amazed at the changes that will take place if you simply address these two basic Filters and Needs in both children and adults in your life. They will blossom!

Another way to help you understand the communication style of others who have not taken the KLLP™ is try to determine their Category. Do they feel first (Emotive Category), think first (Cognitive Category), or act (Kinetic Category) first? Do they say things like: “I feel that this just isn’t the thing to do,” or “I think that we should consider...”, or “Let’s do it! Why stand around?” Once you have determined their Category, you can respond accordingly.

Take It to the next level. Fred and Anna Kendall cover each of the seven LIFE Languages™ in depth in their classic book, Speaking of Love. Learn how to recognize speakers of each of the LIFE Languages™ including their Distress Levels, how they might decorate their home and office, how they handle finances, how they respond romantically and intimately and much more. Once you have determined a person’s Primary LIFE Language,™ you can communicate with and inspire that person by responding to their Passion or Developmental Need.

An Influencer working for a High Shaper was in danger of being fired for appearing unorganized. Although she was producing good results, her boss thought she seemed too unpredictable. She began making a consistent effort to meet the Shaper boss’s need for agreement and support through long-term planning, projections, and documentation with timelines. Instead of being demoted, she received a salary increase.

She learned to speak his Language! At work A Mover Mom disciplined quickly and directly, often by spanking her six-year old Responder son. He usually became hysterical, angry, and resentful. In addition, her discipline was not changing his behavior. After reading Speaking of Love, this mother began consistently providing the Responder child with unconditional acceptance and affection and showing genuine grief when he misbehaved. Within 8 months, the child’s behavior was so improved that he would confess and occasionally punish himself with time-out.

Keep in mind there are occasions when the KLLP™ may not seem to fully reflect the way you see yourself, or the way others see you. One or more of the following reasons might explain why:

1. The person answering the questions experienced a recent trauma that impacted their answers.

2. The person answering the questions was doing a job that influenced their answers toward a profile consistent with that job.

3. The person answering the questions slanted the answers deliberately toward how they want to be seen or away from how they really are most of the time in most situations.

4. The person answering the questions has experienced a great deal of abuse in their life, and possibly has not dealt with it.

5. The person answering the questions lacks the reading comprehension and/or vocabulary to choose the answer that most fits them.

6. The person answering the questions does not know himself or herself in reality.

7. The person answering the questions went to one extreme or another—answering the questions with no thought, or giving them too much thought—causing an inaccurate profile.

8. The person answering the questions did not answer them they way they are most of the time, most of their life and in most situations.

These are vital to achieving an accurate KLLP™. Remember, your communication style, personality, character, behavior, beliefs, and even your KLLP™ results are not etched in stone. Use the KLLP™ for learning, growing, developing character, improving communication, and building relationships, By approaching the KLLP™ as a learning - growth journey, you can be successful, enjoy life more, and become all that you were created to be.

The KLLP™ Profile Circle

Your Primary Languages are your preferred communication style, but just as your lifestyle and behavior are not static, neither are your seven LIFE Languages™. When your first or second Life Languages are not connecting with someone, remember you have five other Life Languages that you can use.

Final Thoughts KendallLife Languages Profile™

MAGNATIE SOUMAHORO- 11/18/2018 ©LIFE Languages Page 22

The Profile Circle shows how you can pull up a lower Life Language to use in that situation. We believe that you are designed to move up and down your LIFE Languages™ Portrait until you consciously or subconsciously find the one that connects with that person, usually by speaking through their Filter. When we are inflexible and stay in only one or two of our stronger Life Languages, we limit ourselves. Under stress, you are most likely to exhibit the distress characteristics of your Primary Life Languages, but you absolutely can learn to pull up on the strengths of your lower Life Languages to help compensate for those situations. This helps you move out of stress and build character in your life. It is important to remember that a high or low score in a given Life Language is neither better nor worse, but simply an indication of your fluency and comfort in that Life Language. Picture your seven LIFE Languages™ on a rotating wheel or carousel that you can turn and use to pull up the strengths of each and every LIFE Language to help you better connect and communicate with others as well as get through stressful or difficult times in your life, career, and relationships.
