I believe that the future of humanity is bright and prosperous, given the numerous scientific inventions that serve to make life easier. I imagine a future where levels of pollution will be low and working will be for a few hours in shifts to allow time for other exercises like gym and athletics. Industrial areas will be separated from residential areas, and all the comforts of visiting a mall will be delivered at our doorsteps.
Robotics and Artificial Intelligence is my topic of interest because of technological advances in this field promise humanity a better future. I imagine how much better the future will be when robots will be used to provide labor. The robots can be programmed to work accurately 24/7 without taking breaks, and they are more accurate than human beings (Rainie, 2017). The robotics and AI are the life-changing innovations, and the vast opportunities for improvements in the same field eliminate all the doubts of a better future.
Robotics can be used to entertain us at home without controlling them because they are automatic and programmable. The robotics can be used in exploring the universe, especially where human life is at risk. The use of artificial intelligence in robotics makes it possible to use robotics in the manufacture of the aeroplane and car parts with high precision and large numbers (Rainie, 2017). The use of robotics in warfare and scientific explorations in deep seas ensures that human life is kept safe while the results of such studies are used to make life better.
On the other hand, the robots might dominate the human space, lead to unemployment and possibly cause destructions if evil people control them (Torresen, 2018). The robots are costly to acquire and maintain the software that requires to be updated to suit various tasks.
In conclusion, human beings should use robots to increase productivity and make life easier by using machines to perform tedious jobs. The robots do not get bored, and they do not need a salary. Therefore, integrating them in our lives will serve to make the future better and enjoyable.

A thesis that is something like: "Although I fear that/I am worried about [insert pessimistic or bad thing here], overall I am optimistic about the future because of [reason 1, reason 2, and reason 3]." Or, “Although I am confident/hopeful about [insert optimistic or good thing here], overall I am pessimistic about the future because of [reason 1, reason 2, and reason 3]."
Summary paragraph: It could be a good idea to summarize the sources you are using here as a type of literature review or primer to the body of your paper/main argument.
Body paragraph 1: Have a topic sentence that previews the theme or idea of the paragraph. This theme should relate to reason 1 in your thesis. For example, if you're pessimistic about AI and robotics replacing or hurting mankind in the future, your counterargument can address the benefits of AI or robotics as advocated by some people. This is a good spot to cite and synthesize 2 sources. AND/OR, you can self-critique your own argument and point out some weaknesses or some things you could be wrong about. It's also important to end the counterargument paragraph with a sentence or two about how despite the counterargument, it's not strong enough to overturn your larger argument.
Conclusion: You can gesture back to your introduction and summarize your argument here and leave people with a final thought, vision, or consideration about the future.
