I. Introduction

a) Love is a term that has been used for many years.

b) Love can be defined as a feeling of attraction and an intense affection as a result of sexual desire and enthusiasm or fondness.

c) The word love has been used from as early as 13th century.

d) Love is an important asset in marriage that can determine the success or failure of the union.

Thesis Statement: Love is very important in human beings because it creates passion, happiness and consistency.

II. Body

a) Paragraph 1

1. Informal definition of love states that it is a deep, passionate affection for another individual.

2. The phrase to be in love with is from 1500 while to fall in love is from 15th century.

3. An example in a sentence is as follows; I feel like falling in love with you.

4. Love is characterized by a deep sense of commitment and care.

5. Love is a process that involves attraction, stability and commitment.

6. “Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own” (Karandashev, 2016). 

b) Paragraph 2

1. Love is not something that can be done badly.

2. Jealousy is neither love nor evidence of it.

3. When people are in love, they experience similar positive thoughts as when they like an individual.

4. Synonyms of love include attachment, intimacy, warmth tenderness and fondness.

5. Antonyms of love include detest, hate and loathe.

6. “Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love” (Lumb, 2019).

c) Paragraph 3

1. Love is caused by a hormone in the human body that creates attraction, drive lust and mediate attachment.

2. While love can be invited, people do not have the ability to dictate it.

3. Love is very unpredictable as it strikes like lightning.

4. The story about Romeo and Juliet is a good illustration of love.

5. “True love is like cooking” (Karandashev, 2016). 

III. Conclusion

a) In conclusion, love has been around for many years dating back to 13th century.

b) Love is an important factor in human life as it creates passion, happiness and consistency.

c) Since 13th century many other phrases of love were developed including “falling in love”.

d) One can buy attention, championship and loyalty but can never buy love.

e) The drastic changes happening in love in the contemporary world indicate love will take different dimensions in the future.
